the gears and bearings wont care what u put in there. clutch action might be a bit better with some oils though

What is the application?

 

Drag, trail, etc. 

 

On a drag bike, its virtually inevitable that you will be wrenching on it, so ATF has always been my go to because its cheap and works fine. If its a daily rider, duner, trail type deal where you just want to add gas and ride, then I would recommend a Redline, or something along those lines.

The gender fluid fluid of choice is tranny oil.

I use Rotella T6 5w-40. Cheap enough and works well for a play bike.

Bel Ray or Amsoil Super Shift ATF.  Really you can run whatever oil is wet clutch compatible. The cheapo ATF is fine, just needs to be changed more frequently.
