  1. I'm on it, I think rangely would be the best bet since there is no snow in the rest of the state..... Never been there, so that'd be cool...I heard there is a lot of sleds that go there so we usually go to Fort Kent or Greenville area...I was actually on the computer the other day looking for camps, etc to stay at...We found one that was $90/night and holds up to 5 people ....2 Queen size beds and a cot...Has a kitchenette and everything...Have you checked out any others?? BTW, did you check out the Dumont trip yet????
  2. Post a pic of those plastics, mine are getting faded...
  3. I'd have to say stock carbs for my setup, but I"m running midrange pipes.....I'm sure the high revs w/ porting will benefit more from larger carbs, but how much is the question....BTW, I lost hp across the whole curve w/ ported stock carbs also....
  4. I just unplug the brain, brake switch on the handlebars, and the carb tops....I never twisted or cut anything...Just unplug them..
  5. The new T6 is still a high rev pipe w/ more low end compared to the T5, but its far from a midrange pipe......I'd get a high compression head and that might get you enough low end to get by....I doubt a lower gear is your answer, you'll still have that low end lag regardless of gear...You can also play w/ your jetting, that could take out some of the lag also....Adjust the air screws and are you running w/ the air box lid on?? Stock filter??
  6. Finding neutral on my shee is almost impossible when its running.....I have a -2.5" shifter and the shift star mod..... ..Oh well, I hardly ever use neutral anyways....
  7. I guarantee the slime is your problem...If you don't run the shee long enough after you put the slime in, then it hardens on one side of the tire....You have to ride around for the slime to evenly spread out.....I've never had a balancing problem from studding...A good way to balance is too fill a tub of water and put the tire in it. The heavier side will face down......
  8. They are softer than stock, but are you running 2+1 arms??? Those shocks might be valved for stock arms which will throw the valving way too soft.....I can get on my front bumper and jump up and down and come close to bottoming, but don't...
  9. I'd start w/ 350-360 mains and go from there..... I ran 162 mains w/ my 34mmpj and run 300 mains w/ my stock carbs.....stay w/ stock pilots.
  10. Damn, I would give it a compression test just to see if he was lying....As far as jets, I can only give a guestimate....Try a 340 main, stock needle clip, 25 or 27.5 pilots......This is only a starting point...
  11. I just wanted everyone to know, I have a son on the way....I've always wanted a son, and I got one...... He's due at the end of April...A little hellion is on the way I just hope he doesn't take after me.....
  12. I tried to send you a pm and its full.....
  13. Higher compression....next best mod especially for low end...
  14. I put 34's on my shee and lost 8hp on top and lost a lot of bottom as well. I did everything I could to dial those in.....including 3 different needles, needle height, 5 different size pilots, and mains....
  15. the only way to get more low end is to either get it ported or higher compression will help out....Why did you get high rev pipes if you wanted low end power???? Should've got a 2 into 1 pipe or a set of twin midrange pipes.....If it really bothers you, then I'd strongely suggest a different set of pipes. Makes a world of difference...
  16. Do a leakdown test....sounds like a crank seal.....
  17. Adjust the air screws and go from there......
  18. Ptr mids for all around is my first choice and fmf sst's is my second choice...these both have a really broad powerband w/ excellent throttle response and power at the touch of the throttle, the Pt's have a slight better low end, but very little....Bills, dmc, would be a 3rd choice...
  19. Mikunis or Keheins??
  20. I cut 1/2" off the air box so you have just enough for the clamps.
  21. Stock is a 25. I'd try going back to stock pilots and see what happens, you might be loading up when your off the throttle...
  22. Can I ride it??? ON one wheel or two??
  23. Boon, Spoin, I have a regular cab Duramax that'll pull a house. Pushing over 900lbs/torque..... Here what I'm thinking....If we get a enclosed trailer then we can camp out in the trailer.....Why not?? Better than tents...We can build an outhouse w/ a tarp or tent....rent a motel room here and there and take showers...If 5 of us go, then expenses shouldn't be bad at all... JKJK said he'll fly, if I pull his shee and help w/ gas....I have all kinds of trailers, but no large enclosed ones....I have a 16' open, 10' open, and a 12' snowmobile enclosed.....I can take my small trailer to your house and drop my small one off and hook up to your larger one??? Some people could possibly ride in the trailer also if you want to stay w/ one vehicle.......get some 2-way radios to communicate from truck to trailer.....hehe....I don't know..I'm just brainstorming, but let me know what you think......Driving day and night, we'll be there in 2 days.... Oh ya, my duramax gets 17mpg w/ no trailer, not sure w/ trailer, I'm guessing 12-15 depending on driving.....
  24. I don't know about one in the pit, but there is a track built about 1 mile from the pit....The guy built it for his son who's around 12 and races dirt bikes....pretty impressive track.... He originally wanted $200/year to ride the track even in the winter, we can take the sleds on it!!!! I just heard a few weeks ago that he decided to charge by the day also now...$20/day....well worth it...the track has a couple of 90' doubles and a lot of great table tops...He designed the track for a 85cc 2-stroke dirt bike at a more advanced level which makes a perfect track for ATV's.........
  25. You have to have air screws, if those are missing, then thats your problem....should be on the left side of both carbs....
