  1. Damn, that was for one way shipping!!!!! I missed that one....Maybe I'll be driving after all.....
  2. I have over 15,000 into it, and I'd like to get 8,000 for it....Its red/silver..I sent Raxen the pics so hopefully they'll be up.... Thanks Walter for confirming the condition... Raxen, the hugger doesn't bottom out at all and hugs the tire very close...even w/ two people..
  3. Tap the sides of the carbs, sometimes when they sit for a while w/ no fuel the seals dry out and won't open or close....
  4. It'll either like it or hate it....trial and error...there is always room for more power especially when it comes to jetting....change the needle height and ride it, it'll either go like a bat out of hell or it'll hesitate like hell or even bog out....
  5. It has 3600 miles on it, polished frame, chrome swingarm and wheels, ohlins steering dampner, euro undertail, tire hugger, MIG high rise exhaust, K&N, powercommander, 520 chain and sprockets (stock is 525), New Michelin tires, and more....I will have pics once I figure how to load them up.
  6. I own a 40' lobster boat and 800 traps, snowplowing, lawn irrigation, roofing, and some construction when I get bored.......
  7. Testing...Damn, it sais I can't upload this type of file.....Anyone know why? Its jpeg file w/ a file size of 1.7mb......
  8. I did, then my other computer crashed so I have to take some more and download them on my new computer....I might just do that today...I'll post them tonight if I can downsize the pics..... Damn computers.....
  9. Gary made me a custom set of arms and I put them on....Two weeks later, I rolled down a 90' packed loam hill w/ grass clumps at @80 degree vertical w/ jumps in it....the shee hit the bottom and ripped my handlebars in half and bent my steering stem...checked the arms and they were still perfect.....2 thumbs up for GARY!!!!
  10. You pulled the carbs off and probably disconnected the choke tube w/o realizing it and didn't reconnect it..there is a 1/4" tube about 2" long between the two carbs, make sure its in place.....
  11. Sounds to me that your lean...The "lean is mean" expression is bullshit....I had more hp on the dyno w/ a chocalate brown plugs, then w/ tan plugs....Go up on the mains a couple of sizes and do a wot test in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, shut it down, coast to a stop and check the plugs...
  12. I can see your point, personally I think a fast shee will always sound awesome!!!
  13. normal riding will always look like that. My plugs look the same w/ normal riding, but once I open it up in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, the my plugs will burn and change to a brown color....those plugs are giving false readings since you didn't open it up enough....2nd and 3rd gear runs aren't enough....there is not much load in those gears.....Run it wot in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, pull the clutch, shut it down, coast to a stop, pull the plugs.....
  14. Do a compression test, clean the carbs w/ a compressor (air), are you running stock pilots??
  15. Take the cover off!!! Why would you want it on?? You'll gain so much more....W/ the cover off, I'd start w/ a 300-310 main and do a plug check. W/ the cover on, start w/ a 280 main and do a plug check. Always do plug check to make sure your jetting is spot on regardless of starting points or advice, we can only get you close, you have to fine tune it from there....Plugs tell all when it comes to main jets...You also want to raise the needles one or two clips...
  16. Turn the idle all the way down, pull the air cleaner and look into the intake w/ a flashlight. make sure you have slack in the throttle cable on the handlebars. Now adjust the cables on the carb tops so when you press the throttle lightly the slides move off the bottom of the carbs together....Once this is accomplished, then take the slack out of the cable on the handle bars, adjust idle knobs about 7.5 turns out....and go from there...
  17. The needle is just a needle, there is no jet for the needles....You can't put a Keihin jet in a mikuni carb...and the sizes are totally different...
  18. I'd go to a 300-310 and check your plugs after running wide open in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds. That'll tell all.....
  19. Most shee pipes sound very similiar w/ little differences, I don't know why people make such a big deal about the sound.....
  20. I'd start w/ 330 mains, and do a plug chop after a wot run for 5-10 seconds in 6th gear....then adjust the needles one notch either way and find the sweet spot, then adjust the pilots and air screws.....might want a larger pilot or not. every shee is different in certain areas...You will blow the motor w/ the 190 main though, so I wouldn't ride it anymore until you put larger mains in...
  21. Sounds to me that if its starting hard and runs like shit, then maybe your choke tube between the two carbs is disconnected or maybe the tors is acting up....Check the tube (1/4"x2"), then disconnect the black box above the left exhaust and disconnect the parking brake switch on the handlebars by following the wire towards the gas tank and disconnect the wire connector....
  22. The carb boot has an o-ring so there is no need of any sealant or gasket..
  23. Also make sure your carbs are in sync...makes a big difference.
  24. Every shee is different and I find most shees in my area like the 5th setting on Pt and fmf pipes. If the needles were too rich, then it wouldn't want to kick into powerband....Make sure your K&N is clean and adjust the air screws. Most people neglect them, but they do make a difference. Find the best position, I'm guessing it'll be between .5 turn out to 1 turn out at that elevation.....How does it start??? Cold? Warm? What is your compression?? This will also help us w/ your problem..
