  1. Try adjusting the air screws....when I go up north, the elevation is higher and my shee is sluggish, I just turn the air screws out and thats helps a little. You might want to try lowering the needles and go from there also like Spoin said....trial and error, don't be scared....
  2. I'm getting on it this week, I've just been busy in work, holidays, my last vaca two weeks ago, and just getting caught up...What is the number?? I'll have something put together this week once I find out what Boony wants to do....
  3. Forte, your right on about the Gsxr750. I have a '01 red/silver and have no problem at all pulling the front end up at 100mph in 3rd gear in a stand up, even w/ stock gears....the 750 is very lightweight and mine has 135hp at the rear wheel w/ just a slip on, K&N, and powercommander...Nothing like doing 85mph in first gear!!!! Damn I love my streetbike, but I never ride it anymore, so if any of you interested in buying it, then let me know. It has 3600 miles on it, polished frame, chrome wheels, chrome swingarm, ohlins steering dampner, euro undertail w/ leds and clear lens, MIG high rise exhaust, and more....
  4. Boony, how can I help??? If I hook up w/ you, would that help split the cost?? Or even if I just bring my shee to your house, I'll give you the money to ship it and that'll help pay for gas......Also, I'm thinking about renting a mobile home over there so we can all split the cost of that. This way here, we can have a shower and shitter in the middle of nowhere.....I have my friend Danny and I going now....If your serious, then we should get together on this....
  5. I was supposed to go sledding up north, but everyone backed out last minute.....I was going to take the shee out, but didn't.... My cousin went down there on his Polaris and said he seen you there and talked to you....I should have went. I want to go down there today, but my knee is all messed up..... Noah is putting in a stroker motor, that 370 won't be much for him.....my shee will be underway this week, so this will be an interesting year to come.....
  6. You can tighten the axle nuts and that'll stop the play in the rear brake. The coolant is boiling from a couple of factors. One could be from lean jetting if you have mods or it could be overheating from a malfunctioning water pump....make sure your not over filling the coolant either.....it should be full when warm and about 1/4 full when cold....For tranny oil, I just use 60w motor oil....never had a problem...
  7. Don't take offense, I was just speculating....Nothing wrong w/ sharing different ideas. A different shock angle makes total sense on performance along w/ shock leverage......Its just that I've ridden works and Elkas and I just can't see how the stock 450 shocks could be better than aftermarket shocks that are setup for the shee thats all....not saying your wrong, I just can't imagine it.....its one of those things I'd have to try it for myself....Don't delete this, I'm sure quite a few others will try this and give their oppinions....Thanks for the info...
  8. Every pipe has its place depending on your type of riding. Give us specific details on what type of terrain, speed, most common type of riding you do to the least....
  9. I rode 99nhbanshee's 450 and thats the only thing I didn't like about the quad was the front suspension.....bottomed out way too easy and hit hard on bumps....I can see why the 450 owners wouldn't want them, but I can't imagine why they would be any better on a shee......
  10. I'd try a different pilot and readjust the air screws.....you can also try different needle positions....that will help w/ low end power also...
  11. Hill climbs meaning sand dunes?? If so, then get some high revs....T5, CPI, PTR highs, Thunder, PC, etc....Need a little more detail of your riding to get a better and closer idea.....but definately high revs....
  12. Trinity will have a different jetting then T5.....Run it wot in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds and pull the plugs...Takes about ........10 seconds.... ....and theres your answer....
  13. 290 mains, needle in the 4th or 5th clip from the blunt end, stock pilot.
  14. Sand tires are the best for snow.....
  15. hmmm.......If the burning rate is the same, then why do you have to run a more advanced timing for higher octane????
  16. Its not the terrain so much as to what type of tire your using.....The sand tires have a lot more hook and will have a harder time taking off hard on sand w/ sand tires w/o wheeling.......I'd stay w/ stock length w/ sand tires, but will take the -2 swingarm anyday w/ knobby tires, no matter what kind of knobby you have..
  17. Well let me know when the snow hits you, because it'll be heading our way after.....
  18. Sorry to hear about your grandpa Big.......vent away...we are here for ya....... Next time, get a cover from cascade. They make a lip on the front of the cover so you hook the front on the seat and staple the back, then sides, simple as hell and did it by myself. Didn't realize how lucky I was I guess after hearing everyone else's experience, but from what I hear on here, the cascade cover must be the easiest to install............
  19. How can we tell you what pipes to run if you don't tell us your riding style????
  20. What kind of mods to the heads??? Cool head?? Higher compression??
  21. Go to a 320 mains, lid off, and do a wot run in 6th gear and see what color the plugs are......let us know....
  22. Very common, my '00 carbs won't stay out either... they don't last long, but you only need the choke for a minute....I just hold mine out when kicking it over, then play w/ it until it idles by itself ........
  23. Save your money and get the non adjustables. You'll still see Big changes and a lot better suspension...
  24. I would go w/ a 16/41 gear w/ 18" tires..... 14/41=stock 14/41 for piped shees w/ 22" tires 15/41 for piped shees w/ 20" tires 16/41 for piped shees w/ 18" tires
