It will probably be fine unless you broke one of the wires that are wound around there, just put some liquid electrical tape on there and put the flywheel back on....see if starts...
I tried going the route of leaving everything in tact, the harness was huge, about 2" diameter and somehow some of the extra wires shorted out and fried the stator. I would take the time to do it right and pull out the crap you don't need, you'll thank yourself one day
I'm pretty sure they're the same but as broke said you can always get em to work if they're not, I've got an 84 harness with an 85 cdi and stator. It was a big fuckin mess Just about drove me crazy but it's all good now
10k should be all you need, I rarely go over 10 and max out at 11, My tach is pretty much a novelty item anymore, I don't look at it much, just a good conversation piece, I wouldn't waste much time trying to figure it out
Holy crap my work doesn't have this chat blocked yet lol...now where is everyone? Oh yeah out riding, now if it would quit freakin snowing here I could be doing the same
The oil pump is for oil injection so you don't have to premix, you could run it, would have to hook it up to your carbs somehow or get rz carbs. I'm pretty sure pump is negative pressure so it pulls oil out of the oil tank
I'm sure it will make very good power, I'm not questioning that. But it could make more without those huge intakes, when the intakes get too big the fuel charge loses velocity. Sometimes bigger isn't better.
That's ridiculous, when will these fools learn...Huge intakes can actually make you lose power, the stock intakes are a pretty good size, they only need to be opened up a tiny bit, get rid of the corners and bead blast em. Real builders know the power is in the exhaust and transfers
I just got a cb antenna from radio shack with a spring base, it's a tall son of a bitch and would very hard to break. I got my flag from here http://www.dwflags.com/store/ about $50 all together
Just on the north hills really, most of the big hills are snow covered, have to go down by the beach if you want to climb, we mostly played in the snow cliffs, makes for a good challenge. The river hasn't washed out and I doubt it will....never know though. We may go back up the weekend after next
1. You don't take out the whole spring, just cut off a little to make it softer
2. Get a twist throttle
3. Quit being a pussy and ride till it doesn't hurt
I guess I should post here too....Me and my worthless piece of shit cousin (screwmachine) went up to walden saturday, weather was kickass and not too much snow left. Look forward to meeting you all at mexifest
