  1. I'm not setup for mx at all, but thanks for the offer...do you have any pics of your radiator setup? I was climbing hills all day saturday and realized I was overheating more than I wanted to...does leave more time for drinking beer though Nevermind I saw the pics, I'll have to figure out something a little more discreet
  2. My compression was a little low (about 10 lbs) So 165 is getting borderline, 16's would be pretty safe. With 19's you shouldn't even be hitting 140...you guys sure about your elevation? SLC can go down to 4200 which would make more sense, I'm right at 5000 Sea 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc 197 178 171 170 165 145 19cc 183 167 160 158 152 137 20cc 169 156 149 146 140 129 21cc 156 145 138 134 128 121 stock 130 125 118 112 106 100
  3. I was only at 155 with 15's no porting, factory crank....bore size is the most important thing to watch, at .030 i was fine but a friend at .060 was detonating like crazy
  4. I totally understand that, I'm climbing hills all day long, more cooling would rock, I don't overheat too much anymore, water wetter seems to keep me goin strong. I just wanted everyone to know these facts since you gave the generalized statement that cooler is better, dont want people wrapping dry ice around their engine or something stupid lol We'll have to meet up sometime, I'm headed up this weekend to check it out
  5. Definetely not good for it, the worst thing you can do to your engine is let idle when it's cold, you should ride around taking it very easy, this will get it up to temperature much faster, thermostat would be the best thing, not sure how you could rig that up though, just put in an rz lol
  6. Get out of my head!!
  7. Dealer will be happy to rip you off...about $3 a piece
  8. Running very cool is not a good thing an engine that's too cool will be less efficient, and have a tendency to carbon up. This can also result in accelerated engine wear. Running too cool can be just as bad as running too hot. Take a look at this chart to better understand
  9. I believe this is what was on meat's site...may or may not help 1987..........................2GU-000101 1988..........................2GU-030101 1989..........................3GC-000101 1990..........................3GC-010101or 3GC-024101 1991..........................3GC-025101 1992..........................3GC-036101 1993..........................JV42GGAO*PA049101 1994..........................JY43GGAO*RA059101 1995..........................3GC-096101 1996..........................3GC-082101 1997..........................JY33GGAO*VA111026 1998..........................JY43GGAO*VA111026 1999..........................5FK2
  10. You can go much smaller at that elevation, as long as your bore isn't over .030 you can down to 15cc domes, I had em in my banshee for 2 years with no problems and I'm at 5000ft That's on 91 octane btw
  11. Couldn't hurt, maybe a little blue loctite to keep it on....
  12. Also check the impeller shaft, mine had a groove worn into it from the seal

  19. Wish I could, camera took a crap on me....anyone have a pic of a front brake assembly?
  20. All I need is one of the studs off the front brakes, it is about 1/2" round with a stud on the end of it, it slides into the caliper and bolts up to the mount (damn this is hard to describe) It has a rubber cover on the inner side which has a hex under that, it is the larger of the two. The dealer will only sell me the whole brake assembly so I really need some help guys. Thanks! [email protected]
