Would that include jugs, head, powervalves and all the PV hardware and head bolts? Sorry to ask about the bolts, but it was something I forgot to ask when I bought mine and $80 later the stealership bailed me out. broke

Check second page for link to some of the auctions. all Ebay auctions 99 Banshee Complete bike minus crank and upper left A-arm Frame has Canadian tags and will come with a bill of sale. Apparently it was never titled when purchased, I believe in Canada. I bought it to rebuild for brother in law, but that kind of fell through. So instead of fixing to sell, it's just going to go as parts. Toomey 2:1 airfilter with UNI foam filter Stock carbs with tors removed. Has Vitos carb tops and idle kit. Can have with any jets from 200-360 PM me with offers I can email pics, bike is still being torn apart, but I can get pics of anything needed. I will post a link to all pics when finished. broke

If your pretty sure it's not a jetting problem, switch plug wires and see if the problem happens on the other side. But I would start with a fresh set of plugs, then check the coil by switching the wires, then just keep trouble shooting until something makes sense. The timing itself is pre set to a point(adjustable stator plate or advance key). broke

I may be wrong, but don't the top arms use 2 on each side and the bottoms use four on each side? broke

I try not to think about that. Although I like the looks of the Raptor, the mini clones just don't do it for me. I think it was just a way to keep making money off the warrior. Brand new Raptor 350 really means We, the upper executives of Yamaha think people are stupid enough to start buying a dated quad again if we put on some new plastics. You may argue that the Banshee looks dated too(I like that about it), but they haven't made any worthy 2 stroke replacemens, they have made worthy 4 stroke replacemenrs. broke

I must be an idiot, stuck in the rooms with the fire place and laser. Lit the fireplace, managed to turn the heat down and break the triangle in four. What now? broke

Best, Cheapest, Place To Buy 33mm Pwks?
broke replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
The winning bidder probably proxy bid it up to like $70. If you bid $60 and the bid increments are $1, then Ebay will only make the proxy bid $1 higher than your bid to ensure the proxy bidder is the winner. It took me while to learn that, but it's part of the game. It's fair because it lets veryone cheat equally. broke -
I've heard good things about the pink bands also. I have not run them, but all that have, have had great reviews. I've you go with aftermarket pink bands you can get them matched perfect and staggered special. good luck broke

No sweat. It's just that most of his posts on here are uniformative and just a waste of space. But he sure has managed to get that post count up in a hurry. And I figured you could use a bump. broke

I've got a set, but the other guys definately beat me to it. Anyway, you really think it's easier to change carbs for summer and winter than it is to change jets. To each their own, just seems odd to me. Your bike may be different, but in the winter mine likes to be jetted differently at -10 than it does at 30 degrees. And in the summer 60 and 100 degrees call for sometimes up to 3 sizes off on mains. I'm not telling to do it or not to do it, just wondering. broke

I would love to have one of those parked next to my Banshee. They are one of the best quads I have ridden. My problem with them is they are almost boring to ride. When I go riding I want to come back with one of those smiles that I can't get rid of even if I tried, the 450 didn't give me that. The 450 handled so well, and hooked so well it was almost brainless to ride. It's one of those quads I would love to have if I was riding with a wife and kids. Not to insult the quad at all, but it is very easy to ride slowly. I actually thought it would have more torque right off idle, pulls hard in the midrange then starts to fall short on top(I guess I might be used to mine too much). Well anyway, good luck Loco What I wouldn't give to have them both. Or would that be all three with various motors. I need to sell myhouse and become single again. broke

I have run them both. I think the performance is close enough I can't tell them apart. I think the CPI's look better, but that's just my opinion. I prefer the sound of the CPI's, but to me they seem much louder. I am running the Rockets right now and I am very happy with them. It came down to the Rockets fitting on my quad and the way I was treated by both companies. CPI wasn't the best company to deal with, yet Tom Borrink(sp) couldn't have been more helpful. Like Mullet said, the CPI's are proven, but the Rockets are fairly new and just starting to make a name for themselves. broke

I have them hanging on my wall, had them on my quad, and may run them again. broke

I will have to wait until at least 5/15 for a Silver Lakes trip, but was just curious if anyone wanted to ride this Saturday at the Badlands. broke

It works the best if you DO have the fronts. The conversions will replace the spring anyway, so the pink will be gone. broke

The movie was horrible. The Mom had something hot about her. And the song at the end with all the washed up child stars was the only part really worth watching. broke

You might not get many responses for $200 aftermarket shocks. Elkas conversion for the stocker is more than that. But seriously, the rear boinger is a pretty nice unit that was built poorly the first time. Conversions and rebuilds will be quite a bit less will negligible performance differences. If you throw in a few more dollars (maybe quite a few), you can have the stocker valved and sprung to whatever you want. I got quite a few quotes to have mine turned into a zero preload set up. PEP wanted $425, HSD wanted $410 for the elka conversion, and and The Quad Shop wanted $335 for the same Elka conversion. If you have your heart set on an aftermarket one, good luck and I hope you do find one. I am just letting you know that there are other options that are quite a bit less expensive. broke

Just wondering if there is anything "decent" out there. Small mechanical problems are OK. Either post, PM or email what you've got. It's for my brother in law, so he will have to be the final judge. Thanks in advance broke I'm an idiot. Typo; must not be OVER $2000. Thanks for the offer, but new ones can be had for under $5000 out here.

You guys just couldn't keep that to yourselves, huh? Well...I guess the truth hurts. The more I think about it, somebody may have dug that hole while I was up top. The trip was great, we'll have to try it again soon. I have a bid in on a set of bigger balls on Ebay. We'll have to wait and see how that goes. Might have to try out Haspin Acres too. Later broke
