  1. Last bump. I'm such a loser. broke
  2. Speedster07, Thank you for correcting me incorrectly. broke
  3. Thanks guys. Ironically the two builders you mentioned are the ones that gave me the different opinions. I was much happier with one than the other. They both seem to really know what they're talking about (like I'm a good judge), but I just wanted other opinions. I guess I'll just have to take the plunge, and hope for the best (like marriage). Thanks broke
  4. I have received two different opinions from builders about whether or not my cylinders are usable with a +4 crank. Both builders are well respected and neither has given me a reason to not trust them. My question is can anybody tell me the limits of porting durations when going to a stroker. I really want to run the stroker crank, but don't really want to start over with new jugs. Thanks in advance for any responses. broke
  5. As far as the model years go, I assume you have narrowed down the year of yours by the front suspension. It is a J-arm, right? Can you read the vin # on yours? You should only have the choke on one carb. The carbs from any year are interchangable as far as I know. broke
  6. Just thought I would bump this back to the top. broke
  7. No offense bud, but you really can't be this stupid. At first I just thought you were young, but you are giving the other young members on here a bad name. A little common sense goes along way. So at least now I know none can get you this far. You have been a member for a whole 9 days and have 96 posts of nothing. It wouldn't even be that bad if it were 96 different questions, but most of them are the same one reworded. I never usually take a stand on anything in here, but you are driving me crazy. broke
  8. I am pretty sure they are not coated. broke
  9. As far as motor, broad HP instead of peak HP. The RZ cylinders make the powerband alot more useful, greatly cuts down on tire spin. It will hook up alot better. The stroker might not be a bad idea also(I just have no experience with one). I have heard that they make alot of low end torque. Maybe a combo of the stroker with powervalves will work good. You just don't want the motor to tire you out. As far as chassis go, 46" seems to be the width to shoot for. I have thought about using a wheel with less dish and the +2+1, I just don't know how well that works(beats buying arms again). And you can always have the shocks built for that set up. I would say that the +2 swingarm is not the best set up, but if it's already on there, give it a try. Although I have not used mine yet, the -1,-2 length arms seem like they would hook up alot better. I have had no reliability issues with the RZ powervalves at all. They motor has been completely maintenance free. That's just my experiences and some of that is completely in theory, but I'm sure I will be corrected if any of it is wrong. broke
  10. www.bluetraxx.com good luck broke
  11. Seriously buy a Clymers manual. Splitting the cases is easy, just time consuming. Assess the damage when you have it completely apart. There are alot of shops on here that can take care of any damage that she may have caused. broke
  12. Just curious. The only way I can find to get in there is through rzcolobanshee's or BB757 signatures. Can any of the mods run a sticky with a link to the room? http://web.webchat.org/?theme=webchat&@channel=bansheehq broke
  13. No more riding? I must be bad luck. As soon as I meet someone from here, they sell their quad. Sorry to here it's up for sale. broke
  14. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...=ADME:B:BN:MT:1 I just won the auction for these carbs this morning. This kind of falls into the too good to be true category. Carbs tend to confuse me and I don't know if this was a good buy or another one of my increasingly common bad purchases. I'm just looking for some opinions(sp). broke
  15. This is just a guess, but I think it sounds like you might have a jetting issue. Let us know what the plugs look like. broke
  16. The numbers 40:1 for example means 40 parts fuel to 1 part oil. The best way I have found to mix is get a "Ratio Right" cup. You can get it a just about any local motorcycle shop. It has all the ratios on the side of it. You just choose what you want the desired mixture to be in a certain amount of fuel and fill to that line. It's as easy as it sounds. I'm with Led. I use Castor 927 at 40:1 with 110 oct. broke
  17. Mine is wired up kind of different because I ran into an issue with it firing, so I have no stop switch, just a toggle that breaks or completes the circuit. Anyway, I have the B/W wire just running straight from my CDI to the PV controller. This probably didn't help much, but was just to show that it can bypass everything else. broke
  18. I believe that means Leagers and Lonestar. broke
  19. Unfortunately, most of what was written on this subject was lost as the the HQ evolved. If someone can find the pictures of Abso prancing, this could be the start of a good thread. broke
  20. I have no idea what that means. If I'm guessing right, you're running rich and therefore fouling the plugs. Gonna need a little more detailed info to answer that one. Or is this a riddle? broke
  21. Just in case anyone was interested. I wish I had an extra $1000 laying around. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=2444981097 broke
  22. I was just about to post the same one. Thanks for doing all the work. Later broke
  23. Brand new. Never installed. NOT for V-Force reeds. Comes with all hardware still sealed. I realized I had the wrong one shortly after opening. I paid $190 for it, will sell for $110 http://www.imagestation.com/mypictures/inb...f&id=4202510170
  24. And so it starts.... broke
  25. I'm not to sure what it is, but I like it. Road/TT on MX bike with road tires? I must be out of the loop. Anyway, just letting everyone know it's on right now. broke
