Is there any update on the rear shock rebuild? Did you have it done? What did it run you and what was done? Ride review? I am just being nosey before I have to get off my ass and call myself. broke

Yes, he did.

Mine started out as Brokeass75, which refered to my financial state after buying a ring and a house in the same year and the year I was born. It was shortened to broke in one of forum changes which now refers to my sustained financial state and the almost constant state of my Banshee. broke

Practice the phrase "I told you so." If he won't listen just sit back and wait. I told you so is one of the easiest things to say while smiling. broke

Thanks PS Looks like V-Force are worth the money broke

Very nice bike. But I have to agree with everyone here and say that the market for whole Banshees sucks "right now". You would probably be lucky to get $4000 for it "right now". I'm not trying to crticize the bike at all, and know that you have alot into it. But the fact remains that these damn things just don't go for much at this time. The Ebay market does pick up quite a bit in the winter time. But if you really want to get the most out of it, break it up and sell it off in parts. It's a pain in the ass, but you will get quite a bit more out of it. Good luck broke

I'll vote for "anyone but Bush" You pretty much summed it up in a nutshell there. Kerry make suck as a president, but "I feel" that it really isn't possible to do much worse. I wonder how much of my taxes paid for the Bush brats secret service bar escorts. Oh yeah, the Sierra Club SUCKS. broke

I've got a set of white uncut front, white rears and blue radiator and gas tank plastic. If you give me an email I can send pics. -
I think Quick350 has more to offer than he is letting on. He obviously knows what he is talking about, and definately lets almost everyone else know that they don't. Grand River is on every once in a while, I see Dan from Patriot popping in, and I Kelsey from RTK used to come here, but Jim definately is the most active builder on the boards. The site never really seemed to get them back after Quick got the AllPro thing started. broke

I have been running the Toomey clutch in my bike for two years now and still working great. I have to run all the aftermarket springs in mine, but I know plenty that just do three and three. Just do a search over at Planetsand for clutches, I think some have gone to FZR 1000 or FZR 600 fibers with stock Banshee steels. I'm sure someone will give you the answer, but this question come up alot at PS. broke

Banchetta, That's the kind of torque I would only hope mine makes. That is one smooth curve. I actually would have thought that the carbs would have influenced the power more. Just out of curiousity, what air filter set up and pipes are you running right now. I'm just trying to get a feel if X size carbs perform better with brand Z pipes. You have definately been a great help by trying the number of set ups on the dyno that you have. The new set of cylinders are sitting here just waiting to get worked on, just can't figure out exactly what to have done to them. Dyno graphs are even more helpful to me than porting specs are, it just gives me a visual model to relate to. Thanks again, broke(aka.......Jaggofff)

Stan, If you have any extra pipe brackets, let me know. I would really like a set, but maybe the next batch. Thanks, Jay

I thought this was going to be the case with me, but since I got married she "let" me buy the Banshee and got me a sled for my birthday. So I can't complain. Anyway, good luck bud. We had our honeymoon in Maui, it was incredible. broke

Thanks Walt, I spent many hours on MacDizzy's site when I was first building the RZ motor. There is a lot to be learned from the site, even if some of the physics of the work is way over my head. Why do so many seem to not like Macdizzy too much? We can let this one die now. broke

Yeah, I figured the reason that this hasn't received much response is that most don't know and for that matter don't care what theirs are and those that do know may not want to share. I was just seeing "if" there might be some response to it anyway. I know that alot more goes into porting than just the port timing, but it's the easiest part to compare. I figured most shops wouldn't want to share, but Dan had no problem sending mine to me, and I would expect that from a service that I paid for. I would have a problem with a builder that would not tell me "whatever" I wanted to know about my own motor. I guess I was just looking for generic answers to my questions. I can't even figure out how to convert duration into port heights. I'm basically an idiot when it comes to this and was just looking for a porting 088 class. I don't really want to know how to port and I'm not looking to copy anyones work, I was hoping to find out why different things lead to different results. I guess most either already have this knowledge or really just don't care as long as it runs right. Thanks for all the responses anyway. broke

I was going to, but I figured I would end up with a bunch of drag porting specs. Which I wouldn't mind, but I kind of wanted to see what people here ran. Oh well, I'll give PS a try.

Does anyone on this site have any experience doing this themelves? I've got an extra seat that I would like to try this on, I just don't trust myself to do it. broke

Then don't be holding out. I agree. Share!!! We are still waiting. broke

Sunday sounds good to me. I'm working on getting a few friends to go, but you know how that goes. If nothing else, I will see everyone in the lot by the shelter. broke
