Putting blaster pegs on the Banshee is a great mod if you can't afford to go with Roll's or something along those lines. I have had mine done for about a year and have had no problems. I actually left my shifter and brake pedals alone to leave room for my boots. The blaster pegs will work with the DG nerfs but take a little bit of grinding. Mine hit the top bolt on the nerfs where the steel insert bolts up to it. As far as the spacer goes, I think it's kind of a shitty set up, but check out the link below for the best way to do it. Good luck http://www.roostfest.com/blasterpegs.htm broke

Can we have some details on it? The tope end should be straight forward, but does it have any porting? New crank? Any and all details would be appreciated. Thanks, broke

To Power Valve Or Not To Power Valve?
broke replied to trail rider's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That's really going to depend on what you want the end result to be. If you're looking for a drag motor, powervalves may not befefit you much. If you're looking for a motor that can do more than one thing, they will help. When a powervalve is closed it's going to offer up more torque, yet when it opens the exhaust port is raised creating all the top end it was ported for. I myself, for my kind of riding can not think of any drawbacks to them. Although there has been alot of debate about the time it takes for the powervalves to open, decreasing how fast the motor can rev up. The next question would be how do I want to add them to my bike. Cheetah, T-Rex, RZ, etc. What exactly does this mean? Why not build a stroker/drag ported "PV Motor"? The monoblocks sure are alot easier to turn into a "big" stroker than a stock jugged bike. And if your going to go the monoblock route, why not get the powervalves? Maybe I'm just looking at this a different way. Can you explain this a little furthure to me? I must just be misunderstanding what you're saying. I don't know where you would be getting less. If there is one thing everyone of us on here knows, the one place the Banshee lacks anything is low end. I am speaking from experience seeing as I had a stock motor and turned it into a PV motor. I'm not disagreeing with any one, just may not understand exactly what you're saying. broke -

When is opening weekend? I just got some paddles that want to be used. I think I remember a picture on the old forums of somebody having their quad in the back of their truck with snow on it opening weekend. Later broke

Want to try out a new sled and have nothing left out here. Thanks broke

The last time I looked into it, it was about $300ish to have the shock rebuilt into one of the zero preload set-ups. Later broke

They can be good, but they will never be the best at it. There are quite a few on here that have set there's up for exactly that. Blue Duece, Meat, Bigmotoxer, Banchetta and many others have set ups that are worth checking out. I have done just about everything to set mine up for MX except the - length swingarm. Suspension is the real game when you are building an MX Banshee. An engine that hits down low and smoothly is what you are going to be after. But even a stock Banshee is fun on the track. http://www.planetsand.com/memberphotos/142...20%28183%29.jpg http://www.planetsand.com/memberphotos/142...%20%2850%29.jpg Those pictures are of Tim Farr's second race on the 450r, just to get into the same class, it must have been set up right. broke

I put 30's in 26-28mm intakes and they worked fine. I would assume the 32's wouldn't be a problem either. I have a brand new Prodesign non-V-force billet intake with boost bottle. I was hoping to trade it for a -2 swingarm but I would sell it. I just need to order the 2 round gaskets that seal the bottle to the intakes. Long story why I neede to use them. Later broke

I would say that it would depend on your porting. I don't know much about this except what my builder has recomended to me. I do know that the mids were more impressive on my stock motor than they are on the new one. I have "heard" that the mids do not like a a high exhaust port height. My porting specs are; 196* exhaust duration, 128* transfer duration, 130* boost port duration. With this porting his exact words were "those PTR mids are signing off too early for what you now need", "I think pipes right now would be the key to unlocking the power thats there". Take this for what it is worth, but this came from a very well respected builder. Then on the other hand Duncan's bikes are fast as hell and PTR mids and high revs are all he uses. So I would guess that if the porting is set up for the mids then it would work well. broke

It's been mentioned a few times now, what needs to be done to make this into a sticky? broke

Most women are nuts by design. Mine is pregnant right now, so everything is my fault. The big puppies are like nothing else. My English Mastiff just finished growing after almost two years. It's kind of hard to explain to someone that doesnt have one how it is to own a 75lb dog with a 5 month old brain. We are down quite a few pieces of wood trim, one room of carpeting, one whole stair, at least 15 pairs of shoes, a couple dozen pumpkins, numerous X-mas ornaments, one pair of XX Oakleys, one camera(brand new), and quite few other things that my brain keeps blocking out. broke

Well, you are coming back to the nexus of disfunctional nuclear plants. I happen to work for the electric co. out here, I'm in the distribution side, not production. It's good to know if your job ever goes belly up, there is alot of work for someone in your field out here. Good luck. broke

Anyone From Illinois Have A Place To Ride
broke replied to Dawgler23's topic in Riding and Events Forum
There are plenty of places to rides by me, how legal they are is not known. I am actually just north east of Coal City, in Channahon. I am about 1/2 hour from Manteno. Fox Valley really does suck. Anyone that's up for a ride, just let me know. broke -
Would make an interesting ride. McDizzy stuffed an RZ 500 motor in what I think was a Quadzilla. I guess the only real way to have pipes on one would have to be out of frames. Looks like a much cheaper but more complex way to make the HP of the big Cheetahs. broke

I can't say anything about the performance. But if you just go by the numbers, it "seems" worth it to me. A 35 mm carb has @961.6 square MM of area. if they were bored to 36.5 the number climbs to 1045.8 square MM. If my math is right you gained almost 9% in area of the carb bore. On paper it looks like enough of an increase to justify the expense. As far as real world application of it, who knows. I am just an idiot with a calculator. But when I break things down like that, they just make more sense to me. broke

I'm not sure what island you're on but Maui had trails everywhere. It's not a very inhabited island, Lanai seemed to be pretty undeveloped also. We just got back from a vacation there. I envy you, I didn't want to leave, ever. Later broke

Looking for a stock swingarm to have shortened. Needs to be in nice physical shape, I don't care about cosmetics. If anybody already has a shortened one they would like to sell, let me know. Or a -2 roundhouser. broke
