  1. Unfortunately, these are the type of things that have brought the HQ down to level it is at now. Not regarding this thread, but there are some on here that have to give their input on situations whether they know what going on or not. It's hard to even ask a question or voice an opinion with out the Dark Overlords of the HQ jumping down your throat. I guess all things change, and this site is not exempt. I still find the site to be amusing, but as far as technical questions, this is not where I would ask them anymore exept in a PM.

    Brake Hub

Are you selling one or trying to buy one?
  3. I was actually going to mention him. One his moor before the stroker, he tried a larger carb, 34ish and lost something like 7 or 8 horse than with the smaller carbs. I'm sure many will disagree, but big cabrs don't work well with all motors, I should actuall have something more along the line of a 33-35mm and went with the 30mm to keep it snappy off idle. Mine is far from the fastest bike around, but I have never ridden one that's smoother, even with top end pipes.

    FOR TRADE!

  5. We bought an 05 Excurion PD. On the highway it will pull 20-21, but I have heard with aftermarket stuff, they can pull 25-26. It still gets around 17-18 around town even with my wife letting it warm up for half an hour. I was kind of waiting for Ford to work the bugs out of the 6.0 before buying one. I will say that everyone is amazed just how fast that moster is. There is nothing better than spooling it up next to a Civic with a fart cannon on it when the see the Winney the Pooh sun shade pulling away from them. I have an 01 ZR2 S-10 that gets 15 on the highway, that thing just loves fuel. Incredibly, our 98 Blazer that actually weighted more than the S-10 pulled around 17-18.
  6. I think you're going to find that won't work very well. You're probably going to find a serious stumble from lack of velocity in the carbs. Beleive it or not, the stock carbs are pretty good carbs and pull respectably on top. You're probably going to want semi high compression to help the low end and get something along the line of an MX/Dune style port. They still pull OK down low really come to life in the mid range and pull pretty weel on top, but sign off quicker than a drag style port. Just contact a builder and tell him what you want and see what he can do. Different builders have different ways of getting results. I had mine built as a national MX motor and I think I got the best compromise for my style of riding. Pipes become a huge factor too. Don't buy a drag pipe for low end riding, yet don't get a 2:1 for top end. I had PTR mids on my RZ and it had insane bottom end, close to a four stroke and pulled good on top.
  7. I don't know why I thought this was funny, but......
  8. A guy named Sainty explained one time why they do work, if they are built correctly for the motor they are going on. I don't know if you can even search that far back, but that guy really knows his shit.
  9. I've got nice White Bros. if your interested, it didn't do shit on my bike.
  10. Just another opinion, but I have had great luck with my Toomey clutch on my 64.1235 1/2 HP motor.
  11. If it's stock, I usually rebuild when they start getting close to 100. It will start to be a bitch to start.
  12. I think Santo Derisi is doing them. his site shortcut
  13. Can you post some pics of the pipes hitting the coil, I never had that problem with mine? As for the hoses, I used more than one spring where they would hit.
  14. Huh? It won't necessarily change your compression, that's something you choose to do. It will definately change your cc's, so. Why would that increase the heat generated in your motor? Any motor may overheat, but it is usually do to other factors than its size.
  15. Well, this guy turned out to be a shit head. Why put something for sale and get hit with all the fees, then not want to get paid?
  16. Port one cylinder for drag and the other for MX. Just kidding, you really can't have the best of both worlds. I still drag race my MX cylinders, but I don't win them all.
  17. I was thinking that too, but then I thought that was something that NYUK would already know. When I started parting out Banshees I had to get a micrometer just for this purpose.
  18. I'm sure it's great oil. Beleive it or not I have been beating the shit out of the same clutch for 3 years now with ATF type F that I buy by the gallon at Pep Boys for probably what a quart of that stuff cosots.
  19. Yeah, something doesn't seem right there. But if that stock stroke bike made 65+ from 7500 to 10,000 and then the stroker made 65+ from 6000 to 11,000, the stroker is going to run all over it. And then that doesn't even factor in the torque that the stroker is making is going to be higher and broader. I agree with you, I'm just looking at it from a little different angle.
  20. That's creepy, when I read the name of the thread that's exactly what popped into my head. Even if she did hurt her jaw, her ass should be fine if she hit head fisrt.
