  1. You might want to try a search. I posted on this a while back. You will need to figure out spoke length depending on what cross you want, 3 cross, 4 cross, etc. A trueing stand is a must to get the rim true and round. A tensionometer, I forget what it's actually called, but you use it to test spoke tension around the rim or you'll have weak spots. The lacing is actually the easy part. There are alot of articles on the net about this. The first two are really just training your brain.. After about 5 you will be able to do them while sitting in a chair watching TV. I used to build DH race wheels for an MTB shop. The were almost as wide as a DB wheel and were disc only so I'm sure everything crosses over.
  2. I think it would be interesting to see a dyno run of the Cubs set up as Dan explained above. I don't think anyone here doubts Dan's knowledge. This can be argued over and over and it's still all speculation. Who knows, maybe if the timing can be altered that much, this may be the next big thing for ALL Banshee riders. I'm not going to say it can't be done, when the cylinders have been out for what, a month? It took them almost two decades to finally ring all the HP out of a stock set of jugs. Why are we saying these jugs can never do something after a month of development? If the exhaust port can be brought down some, these things should pick up plenty in the midrange. Unfortunatley, these cylinders have a port arrangement that is so superior to Banshee jugs, that they will probably figure out set ups on these to out perform stock jugs everywhere. I'm speculating myself here, but I am keeping an open mind about what these can do, after all the are just powervalveles Cheetahs.
  3. That's like saying what shoes are the best, or what tires are best for your car. Too many variables, let's have some more info on you, your bike, where you ride and how you would "like" the motor to perform.
  4. This is speaking about the RZ from an 85, I don't know about any of the others. The flywheel, you will defiantely need. They will not interchanges, well they will but you don't even want to get into that. The CDI you should be able to use, just make sure those volts are what's needed. hence the regulator. I know if you go that route, you will be messing with a 200 watt system over the Banshee's 40 or whatever the hell it is. I think if I was going through all the trouble, I would just add the powervalves, the jugs themselves are the easy part.
  5. Will you make up your mind.
  6. AC guys are all the same. SO damn brand loyal. I got to race a few F7s this winter with my little MXZ and those that lost had every excuse in the world why my buzzard Ebay sled shouldn't have beat them.
  7. Shady DD It's got a nice ring to it. Quick350 called me a jagoff on here one time and I used to sign all my posts with it.
  8. Interested in rear tires and wheels. Send pics to [email protected]

    pivot bolt

I just sent one of these to Stan, and I can say that only one of 4 swingarms let loose. They almost become one with the swingarm itself. Good luck.
  10. I was thinking the same thing. It sounded interesting, but I couldn't tell when one thing stopped and the next started. I felt like the whole weekend was over in 20 seconds.
  11. I do too. Several actually. I just noticed where you were, I'm in Channahon.
  12. I've got a carrier if you need it.
  13. Yep.
  14. I bought one of the sets when they first came out and the chrome was horrible, flaked at every weld point and rusted. Tom replaced my set with no questions and the new ones still look like the day I got them. The chrome is perfect and seems to be a great job. I would just order them chrome from the start unless it will be a show bike and you need the absolute best chrome job known to man. I'm sure if there is ever a problem, Ray would take care of it as well as Tom did.
  15. God, I'm on the other end of the old school jabs, thanks.
  16. It's all good Ray, you weren't who I was referring to.

    WTB A-Arm Frame

I've got a factory replacement frame from a 97. Very nice shape, but I would prefer to not ship it. I can ship if needed, but I will let it go cheaper if it's picked up.
  18. I said it here.
  19. Where have you been?
  20. I would have to do some serious wrenching, but that might be a possibility.
