depends on the dirt. if its really hard packed at the take off theyd work well. if its softer and dry they may not work so well. for our dirt hillclimbs we run a set of kenda knarlys with every other row cut out of them. they hook very hard and would by my first choice for some dirt drags, provided the dirt wasnt hard as a rock..

i wouldnt take anything apart. id do a plug check and see if youre too lean. if you were jetted for warmer weather and its getting colder now that could be your problem.

the 2007 are far superior to previous models. they have LT suspension with better frame geometry for starters. they come complete with powervalves and a 520cc engine with duneable override and lockup. has roundhouse swingarm with better linkage. electric start and a kicker backup. they also come with your choice of paddles or sweet dirt tires. and all the nuts and bolts are stainless steel. so id say the 2007 are much better...

id still go with the 421...

i dont think it gets much tighter than a banshee tank fittin under fullbores. i dont see how youre gonna get a bigger tank under there with fullbores...

the downfall to having a regular override is that you cant down shift while youre riding. you have to come to a complete stop before you shift down or youll bend shift forks. i dont understand what youre talking about? with either a regular or duneable you can do full throttle shifts up. the difference is that with the duneable you can also go back down and be perfectly safe.. most overrides seem to be pretty reliable to me. i think youre missing the point. there are 2 totally different types of override tannys..one that can be shifted only up (regular override) and one that can be shifted up and down (duneable override)..we arent talking about just one type of override in drags or dunes. is that what youre talkin about? im confused?

ive got a 2-4 duneable and it works perfect. shift up and down clutch or no clutch. its smoooth. oh yea, i dont have any other shift mods other than the FAST modded shift shaft. if you arent drag racing you need a duneable. you can ride it all day like a regular tranny and itll be fine. ive got lots of time on my 2-4 duneable in my 10mm cub and it still works great. my bro has a 2-4 duneable in his 4mm cub and his works great too. if i was gonna have a banshee to trail ride with it would def have a duneable. it just so happens we dont really use ours for much other than hillclimbing all year and a couple trips to the dunes..but we do a lot of messin around in the field and theyve always worked well...
