  1. not anymore then leaded gas. Even with oil or leaded gas you can expect to get 50-500 hours of use out of an o2 sensor (taken from the o2 sensor manufacture) . And for tuning that is a lifetime. I'm not looking for this to take the place of a plug chop, we have it and I would like to use to so I can see how changes I have made effect the a/f.
  2. So, A couple of buddies and I chiped in together and bought a wideband o2 senor/data logger. (to tune our cars) We all ride, although they ride 4pokes, and we want to use the o2 on our bikes. For the 4pokes it seems like a no brainer, but from my searching I'm still confused weither it will work very well for the banshee. Here are my questions that have not been answered from searching: What is the desired A/F for a 2-stroke? would the sensor be better located between pipe and the stinger or at the end of the silencer? if mounted in the stinger, how do you get it in the flow without blocking the flow?
  3. I've used that single stage chrome before and after a couple of rides it looked grey. if you want chrome, get it chromed. if you want to do it yourself and have it look good, do it a different color.
  4. I would have to see what it looks like on a bike, because by itself it looks like it would be a little out of place on such a square bike.
  5. Although I like the fullbores better then the maier plastics, I only paid 350 for all the pieces brand new from maier.
  6. did you see knoxville try a back flip and bust his pee-pee up? it was h/c.
  7. I'll see if I can find some picks of the jeep we have now, but here is the toyota.
  8. they are fzr1000 fibers, use stock steels or tusks (they are cheaper) I think the yamaha part number is 4H7-16321-02-00 but that might not be the right one, can someone back me up on this? I know this has been covered a lot do a search.
  9. Preload does NOT change the spring rate. The rate of a spring is the change in the force it exerts, divided by the change in deflection of the spring. That is, it is the gradient of the force versus deflection curve. Preload is a ride height adjustment only. I'm not saying this to be an ass, I just hate to see people pass along wrong information.
  10. I don't see why not they were sold here and are still around. A guy in my town has 3 of them (and the bastard won't sell me one). If they are legal in Cali then they'll be legal anywhere else.
  11. My guess would be canada, but I'm sure you could get maier ones that look the same for a lot less.
  12. I gotta say if I could make $250g's off a bunch of idots I would, but that doesn't mean I would sleep good at night. Oh wait ya I would
  13. Is there anyone in the nor cal regon that dynos quads? I guess so cal isn't that far, but alba will not be getting any more of my bussiness.
  14. by forcing people to pay for his site, doesn't that hurt the sport? If I was a new comer just getting into the sport and I stumbled onto p/s I wouldn't want to spend money on a site like that. I'm not saying everything should be free, but if he set up a donation like bhq then all the people that feel like they are getting something for nothing can donate to keep the site alive. I've been on pirate4x4.com for years and it is a much nicer site with a lot (a lot) more memebers and posts, and their site is free with optional donations. I don't think by making it mandatory to pay he is going to help the sport or his members, the only person that is it is going to help is him. By taking the search function away it is going to put more worthless posts up there that will just get deleted (because it has already been answered), and then the person posting won't get their answer, and it will make that new comer feel like p/s is full of assholes.
