  1. no problem man. those fuckin coils can cause major problems.. i had the same type of issue. it drove me crazy for a while until i figured it out..
  2. its NOT the head gasket. the crankcase and the transmission case are separate. the only way for water to get into your crankcase from the cylinders is for the head gasket to be leaking, and the right side crank seal to be leaking. the antifreeze would have to get down below the piston for this to happen. i dont see that happening, so i think you can rule out that. water jacket?? thats in the cylinder and would have nothing to do with this. so rule that out. have you checked the water pump seal where your impeller is? im betting thats where your problem is... as for your overflow bottle.. take it off and throw it in the trash. its worthless. its definitely not gonna stay full if youre leaking coolant into the crankcase.
  3. yea that and something about bird droppings or something?? there were too many to remember. thats not necessary!
  4. depends on your elevation and temperature.. but, id start at 160 main and 48 pilot and go from there. most of the pwk carbs run close to the same jetting specs. ive run 33, 35 and 39mm pwk and they are all very close in jetting.
  5. youre kidding right?? please dont give information out unless you really know what youre talking about.
  6. have you checked compression? is your coil grounded well? i mean coil to bare metal on the frame. make sure your grounds are good as this will cause the same problems youre describing. remember, no 2 motors are the same so just because your brothers is right on doesnt mean yours will be too.
  7. time to split the cases and replace all the seals. its actually coming from your water pump seal inside the clutch cover. how old is this motor? chances are if that seal is bad, others are just waiting to go bad on you. id say replace them all.
  8. youre gonna end up cutting the frame in half with either motor..
  9. i just use a grinder.. ive tried chain break tools and all the ones ive had were junk.. try a grinder, especially if you have one laying around..
  10. banshee frames suck for modding with other motors. youre better off finding a tall 4 stroke frame such as a yfz450 or craptor..
  11. its $5.10 a gallon here for sunoco 110.
  12. ive never done a plug "chop" either.. i dont really think its necessary but, hey its whatever this guy wants to do.. and ive sure as fuck never used a magnifying glass and looked into my cylinder through the spark plug hole! haha.
  13. i run straight 110 sunoco brand fuel. my compression is right around 175. anything around 110 will be fine.
  14. depends on maintenance and how you ride it. there are people on this forum that have been on the same build for years..
  15. all good builders are busy all the time.. if you can find a builder who can get your shit right in, chances are theres a reason for that..
  16. wide open throttle test. pull the plugs. if they are white looking youre lean. if they are tan youre very close. if they are black and oily youre too rich.. you dont need to chop the plug to get your jetting right.
  17. me and my brother both bought them from the original owners almost 4 years ago. our chrome still looks brand new and the welds are perfect. weve never had an issue.
  18. how old is your clutch? how old are your clutch parts? slipping clutches can result from other clutch parts being worn out. you should inspect the basket fingers, the inner hub and the pressure plate. if they are all worn, a new clutch is pointless. youre just masking the real problem.
  19. if youre not running lights you dont need the voltage regulator. i have no lights or reg on my bike. no 2 engines are the same. your jetting may be different than his. have you checked to make sure you coil is grounded well? i mean bare metal ground.. ive had that problem before with my bike not sounding like it was cleaning out. your issue sounds electrical. check your grounds..
  20. what surface did this race take place on? that will make a huge difference.. i dont think your carbs are the problem. id be looking more at traction, gearing and take off..
  21. about 3 on choke. whats your jetting at? whats your pilot?
  22. what a fuck tard.
  23. damn dave, that didnt take long...
  24. there is no 2008 banshee. its a lie. everyone in canada has been lied to. sorry guys.
