  1. I'm in a little need of help, I recently tore my Banshee down for a rebuild but of all thing's I cannot remeber how the kick starter mechanism goes into the case.. I've sat there and fussed with it for a little and can't even think of a way for it to go, Any help would be great I'm sure it's something easy and I'm just being a stoonod at the moment lol..
  2. I'll check that right now.
  3. Thanks for the fast help guy's I guess I'll have to rip the motor out this weekend and have another project to do!
  4. The motor is a 99, the cases were spilt about a year ago because a couple shift forks in the transmisson needed replaced. I cracked the clutch side case at a PA state harescramble 2 months ago and bought new side case, new billet water pump propeller and all new gaskets as far as the sidecase goes. I am hoping it isnt anything that requires spilting the cases I dont have that much to spend at the time being but if it is I guess I'll park my baby and fix it over the winter.. I've herd mixed opinions on what it could be, many have said head gasket, some have said a cracked case or water jacket. The seals going bad sounds like a good thing for me to check. I have the clutch sidecase off now and doesnt appear to be any cracks in the cases and the oring the kid just said seem's to be in good condintion. One thing I have noticed my coolent over flow bottle doesn't stay full.
  5. I was recently riding my banshee and I stopped to take a beather, I noticed fluid pouring from behind my front sprocket! The seal was blown out and there was a mixture of anti freeze and transmission fluid pouring from it. I pushed it home and drained the transmisson and it's full of anti freeze.. Has anyone ever had this problem?
  6. I'll deff look into it, it is a 97 so I was also considering buying a new coil for it but anything I can fix and not spend some money is wondeful
  7. Well guy's I have some sort of eletrical gremlin that keeps appearing every couple weeks for some odd reason! I was out riding today praticing for a cross country race tomorrow, I wasn't in any water or mud. I was coming into a turn and my banshee suddenly shut off completely, I couldnt get it to fire back up so I pushed it a mile through the woods to my house, I found a buddy with a truck and he towed me back, as he was towing me I tryed to jump start it with no such luck! I got it home and I checked to see if it had spark and there is none I've checked every connection and cleaned them throughly I cannot understand why it's doing what it's doing! The t.o.r.s was removed 2 years ago and the black box under the tank is gone etc.. It's been running for 2 years fine until recently! :verymad: There's gotta be someone out there with the same problem :shoothead:
  8. Hey how much is the frame shipped to 19311
  9. I just went out and looked the ground wire ripped off I guess I need a regulator now afterall... damnit.. I guess a tree branch got it when I was up at breezewood or something and when I was riding at the house it finally let go..
  10. lol I'll look at it, I remeber someone telling me it might be the silver box by the cdi for some odd reason..
  11. I went to go take my banshee out riding tonight and when I hit my light switch the lights worked for about 10 second's then stopped.. My tail light doesnt even work. The bulb's are fine and I went over all the wiring and it seem's fine.. Whatcha guy's think is wrong?
  12. The 27.5 pilot's did the trick! idle's perfect now I just have to drop the needles one in the jet's and it should be good to go! Thank's!
  13. Yeah it has the airbox lid on sorry for the late reply just got home from work
  14. That's what I was thinking as well but when I brought the needles one clip up out of the jets it ran alot better.. This quad has been a pain in the arse my shee is easy to tune compared to this thing ::
  15. I'm having some trouble's getting my cousins banshee tuned.. It has 260 main jets, fmf needles on 2nd to last postion stock pilot jets and air/fuel screws at 2 turns out.. It has boyseen reeds, 10mm reed spacers, uni air filter, we just put a pro design timing advance plate set at 4degrees, t.o.r.s removed and fmf sst's with powercore 2's It starts first kick but dies instantly unless you have the choke out, wont idle and if your riding it lowend it wont run unless the choke is out.., mid-top is fine It's sounding like it needs bigger pilot's but I thought it would be a good idea to come on here and ask before I go and buy them! Whats the next size up 27. 5's?
