  1. If you have a stock shee, 200 should be fine. What is the ratio of Gas to Oil are you using? Also when you say wet, is this at several throttle positions or a idle? A little rich will not hurt. Chris
  2. Typiall O'rings do not need to be replaced unless they are brole ,cracked or warped. Personally I replace them everytime I rebuildd which is every two years. If you change domes quite frequently and the rings are ok then I would not wory about it. If you plan on keeping the domes in for a while buiy new rings, They are only about $20 Chris
  3. Se with and RZ motor. That is what my 06 will look like.. CHris
  4. I am interested in the roller. I live in Utica NY, about an hour south of you and am up your way alot riding the hill. PM sent Thanks Chris
  5. Ya, Braxton is an honest guy. Like above I will give you a slide and needle if you need one. Let me know what side you need and provide address and it is yours. Chris
  6. I have two magnum's from Jeff. Great guy to deal with and the baskets work great. Chris

    ITP Sandstars?

Ya, They are a cool looking tire. I will use a set of these on my 06 and a pair of fasttrekers on my 89. I should be all set. Chris
  10. The RZ head will not work on a banshee cylinder and vise versa. I am also kind of confused on the rest of the questions. You mentoion that you have a 88 shee and want to know how to adjust the powervalves. Shee motors do not have powervalves. Does your 88 have a RZ motor? In regards to the wiring. Do a search for "RZ gods". I think the last post was in December 2004. Their is a great diagrahm on the wiring and this is how I have my RZ shee wired up. Chris
  11. Jeff is a top notch guy to deal with. I haven't dealt with many that are in the same league. Customer service is top notch. Chris
  12. Thanks eveyone for your help. The closer to Silver lake the better. I checked out www.silverlakesanddunes.com and will make some phone calls. Hopefuilly I can get something cheaper than $100 or if I can find some hotties to shack up with that would be even better. In regards to the sparky's, at this time I have a set I can borrow for the rockets and if I repack my FMF's they are to quiet. Are the sparky's required for sound to meet the required db or are they afraid the sand will catch on fire? I am trying to keep the cost of this trip to a min. It is about 700 miles one way and at 10 MPG towing this is going to be one expensive trip. I think I need to get some more people to help share this cost. CHris
  13. I am looking for recommendations on reasonable hotels/motels in a good safe neighbor hood within 30 minutes of Silver Lake. A quick list with phone numbers would be helpful? Also: In regards to the noise ordanance when you say sparkys, do you mean silencers? One quad has FMF, one has Rockets. Thanks Chris
  14. Does anyone have anymore input on this subject? My banshee is up and running and it is time to get the RZ together for it's new home. Chris
  15. Thanks Broke, Ya you are right on the forks, I tried that a couple of months ago and the part number has been superceded. If I remember correctly you can't buy new RZ cases anymore. I will check the online fishe but last time I checked new Yamaha RZ cases were unavailable. Chris
  16. 8 mm longer! That is the first time I have heard that. People use the RZ cylinders on banshee cases so wouldn't that cause a port timing issue if there was a 8 mm difference? Chris
  17. Thanks for the reply. I guess I will stay her in update NY Chris
  18. The RZ project is going full speed ahead next month. My new cases are in and it is time to swap everything over. As a safeguard I confirm part intrachangeablility on a on-line fishce system. I checked the cases and am fine, but does anyone know why the RZ crank part number would be different the the shee crank part number? Through my experiences other than the tranny gears, powervalves and head all the parts are exacly the same. Thanks Chris
  19. If the filter was completely saturated with gas it acts a sponge, not allowing proper air flow. I would say this is a problem. Clean, reinstall and see what happens. Chris
  20. Where are these dunes located?? Chris
  21. I had reeds that went bad and the bike ran really rich. The reads were abuot 4 yrs old, not cracked and sat as they should on the reed cages. The reeds were just worn to the point they were not firm enough. Chris

Please define why you do not like thiese tires I will be doing some dragging but diveristy is more important. I live 600 + miles away and this is my first itme at Silverlake. We would like thisto be a yearly trip and will probably go at the max 2 time per year. Other than that I do not ride in any sand, just dirt and fire roads. Thanks Chris
