  1. im out in laplace, if your looking for somewheres local wigins, the dunes, sicily island are about the closest sand places to ride.. for play riding also.. if your just looking for asphalt you could go out to no problem raceway or state capital raceway.. state capital also has a dirt drag track though im not sure when its open or anything. there is a motocross track in ganzales i cant think of the name of the place right now, its on river road if i remember right.. this coming weekend there are quite a few people going out to wiggins for some racing..
  2. you have a pm.
  3. where are you at?
  4. no, i mean does it come up onto the wheelie bar so hard that it picks the rear tires up off the ground completely.. its not a good situation for safety or for speed.. as well as being short enough to where it could come up onto the bar so hard that the momentum could carry on and flip the bike completely..
  5. im wondering do you un-load your tires when you do hit the wheelie bar? with it being that short and only attatched to the swinger it may be doing that to you..
  6. see the last pic of the motor you posted, under the carb on the cases is one, the frame has one on it near the motor on the main tube for the frame.. you should see them both without having to look too hard..
  7. hey i do have a pair of radiator brackets if you are still needing them shoot me a pm.. later B
  8. i got the set of lights in just as they were shown and described, thanks again!

  15. im looking for a stock radiator with cap, i really dont need any hoses for it. as well as a set of pipe, no need for chrome or polishing them up, just in decent shape..
  16. you have a pm..
  17. hey, ive been running a pvl on my 10mm mini for a little bit now, i would just try to get the motor running without the kill switches first.. then see if you can get it to run with one.. the two wires coming from the stator (blue and black) hooked to each coil, then the black connected to the frame (the mounting bolt for my coils is what i used).. if its been ran then you shouldnt need to reset the pickups on the timing plate.. and make sure not to tighten down too hard on the flywheel.. if i remember right mine is set at .077btdc...
  18. me and my friends dont usually miss one of these events.. i will finally have my bike out there for this event.. hopefully by the time i get to the event id have a chance to go back and paint my plastics.. but here's what it looks like so far..(camera phone pic)..
  19. im not sure if you are only running asphalt or not but from what ive seen the 4mm's are pretty quick when the sand tracks are very dry and conditions are just right.. if the track is wet then the bigger motors start hitting the faster 60fts and the 4mm's start slowing down some (i use some loosely).. if it were me and i wasnt needing to worry over the extra cost of the crank and trench work (not to take into account the case work for the dm's thats already needed), i would do the 10mm the torque will always be helpful on the track..
  20. are the pistons coming apart or are they melting in the center of the crown of the piston? if they are coming apart then you may have a crank problem.. if they are melting on the crown first then it is probably a crank seal if not the jetting..
  21. are you sure? the a&s gss 24mm tripple twister was the fastest on the planet (with a 3.18), but i cant seem to find the pics i remember seeing.. if dan had it built i think it was done with the company he normally uses for his chassis out of michigan. also whats with all the if's and when's? the poster was asking for actual experience with which ever chassis builder, not for an opinion on when you may get one.. lonestar: the "big boys" on planetsand are going to have the same cheerleaders like they do on this site only pushing one or two different builders and that is it, with no reguard to the fact that there are others out there that are competent enough to build a chassis that will suit the need..like i said, shop around call places, ask questions you feel are relevant, ask for suggestions from the places that are called. i wouldnt be surprised if its suggested that stroker have someone build his motor for him, or to send the cylinders to so and so because they can make it run better than what he's done already..
  22. the trans are cut so all you need the clutch for is launching and at the end of your run, the lower gear combo's (1-4/2-4) usually still have 5th and 6th you would just need to use the clutch to get into those gears.. the higher gear combo's (1-5/2-5) usually dont have the 6th gear in it anymore.. depending on if you have straight cuts (overdriven) on your clutch basket it will change your final drive gearing.. the 2-5 im running has a straight cut basket and the gearing is 15 or 14/44 running 25in 16paddle extremes..
  23. there are alot of different chassis builders out there that will build you something to suit what your needs are. in the end you are paying for the chassis so you can get it in any configuration you want.. if you are going to only run on a groomed track then i would go with a rigid, if you still plan on running in the dune areas ect then i would deffinitly consider getting a suspended.. i would do either or in this type of situation, not a half and half suspended/rigid.. my best suggestion would be to call a few places and see what you like best..
  24. if your looking to go to a 4mm the stockers may not be able to be reused.. next are you talking about going to the big cheetah or the cubs? the power that ive seen out of the 4mm cubs is right about 107hp or so with 35mm carbs (small imo) and stock ignition (being swapped to pvl).. the power out of a 4mm big cheetah ive seen hit 121hp with the right parts on it...
  25. a single 38mm carb is not too big.. your already under carbing the motor by running a single.. if yamaha designed it to have one carb and pipe it would have came that way with only one cylinder..
