Whatever dates you guys decide, I'm gonna try to be there. I'll be at silver lake memorial weekend, but I don't think SL is the greatest place to plan a get-together, because there's no telling when everyone will actually get in. Badlands is the best for me, cause it's only 2 1/2 hours for me, but I'd be down to go to haspin acres also. My work schedule goes day by day, so chances are, I would only be riding for one day, so the closer it is, the more likely I'll make it there.

cool! I was starting to wonder if I was ever gonna see my order, lol . How are they gonna be shipped? UPS? FED EX?

God Im Almost Ready To Buy A Moped!
blk02banshee replied to DirtGrrl's topic in General Banshee Discussion
That's what it sounds like to me also. If it is hooked up, try playing with the P-brake and switch. might not be it, though, cause is'nt that part of the tors system? I'm sure she had to disconnect the tors to run 34s or single carb. -
How Many Of You Guys Use A Banshee For Trails
blk02banshee replied to Banshee33's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the banshee will go anywhere a raptor will go...only faster . for real! It's damn hard to go slow through tight trails, but I do fine. Takes a little more rider skill to manuever a banshee through some trails compared to a 4-stroke, but once you get used to it, you can laugh when your buddies are bitch'n that they can't keep up with you. -
Quick Question On Pro Design Flange
blk02banshee replied to bpreuss's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
My pro design flange came with a pro design foam filter, and it's oval. -
I want to add a few things to the list. I want everyone who has this problem to also list your filter setup, boostbottle or stock crossover, and stock or aftermarket pipes. water problem- yes it revs (only one side seems to stick) stock carbs tors functional pro design plate&filter w/lid on and no snorkle boost bottle pro circuit pipes Mine even does it in foggy conditions. One thing I noticed last time I rode, was that I could run through a puddle, and it would stick like hell, but I could plow through snow drifts and be covered in snow, and it would'nt stick.
-
I seen an article about them in a magazine a while back. They're a replacement for stock shocks, but are built better and have a little better performance.
-
Fall would be best for me, but whenever it is, I'm gonna plan to be there. Summer I'm pretty busy at work, and I won't be able to take off.
-
A friend of mine has 2 of the all black ones, and it does'nt look nearly as bad as the pictures we all saw before they actually hit the dealers.
-
LOL, it's hard to think that the best banshee site in the world did'nt have a dune section.
-
side to side wiggle is pretty much normal. should'nt be sloppy up and down, though.
-
I was just about to say that! white castle fries are the best. actually they're the only ones I really like...other than portillo's cheese fries.
-
The tors does NOT get people hurt. It's on there to keep you from getting hurt. They only "act up" when something is wrong, like a stuck throttle, carb slide, or the carbs are out of synch.
-
I'm still wondering if it has something to do with the aftermarket pipes, because mine only started doing it after I got my pipes, and my friend has 2 banshees that are all stock, and he NEVER has that problem. He can ride through rivers and rain, and it never sticks. It seems that all I have to do, is get my tires wet, or ride in fog, and my throttle sticks and runs like shit. Maybe the aftermarket pipes flow so good, that it makes the vacuum high enough to cause problems?. That still would'nt explain where the water is getting in. I'm gonna check into that choke knob, and see if new seals help at all.

What Causes Wrist Pin Bearings To Fail?
blk02banshee replied to RUNMYTA's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
a backfire, severe detonation, or a foreign object in the combustion chamber could possibly damage the bearing, but I'm gonna say it was'nt getting the oil it needed, although 40:1 SHOULD be enough oil. -
Wut Kind Of Crazy Engines You Guys Got
blk02banshee replied to yamahajunky38's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I've got a crazy engine in my snowmobile, lol . It's an old arctic cat 500 and the left cylinder was bad, so I cut the cooling fins off the side of a good right cylinder and bolted it on the left side. The funny part, is that both cylinders are from different model and year motors, porting is totally different, and one has a port job done to it. the other is stock, but has extra ports that the other one don't. I had to make spacers for the exaust, and carbs, and I used pistons out of 2 other burned up motors, as well as the rings and gaskets. That thing runs awsome! It always starts on 1-2 pulls, no matter how long it's been sitting, does 100+ mph, and when it gets traction, it'll stand up and carry the skis over 300 feet. It's going on it's 5th season, and I have $1.65 into it. -
lmao! I've let my gas sit for months at a time without a problem. I have seen gas evaporate out of a bike's tank before, and leave nothing but oil, but that was in a hot shed in the middle of summer. I've also found(at least it seemed to me), that premixed gas tends to last longer than straight gas. I can leave gas in my snowmobile from march till january, and it fires up and runs perfect, but my streetbike gums up and runs like shit, after sitting through the winter. When in doubt, have a bonfire party!
-
I used to do it every year, BUT NOT NO MORE! I got tired of it. Everytime we'd get a good snow, all my friends would be out riding and snowmobiling, and I'd be plowing all night long and have to hear about all the fun they had.

Mine look different than your's, meat. I must have the new design. The nets are web shaped, and thread into the bar itself, where yours have the little brackets welded on. I never noticed that before. Do you have the relocated pegs?
-
They bolted right up . You have to drill the holes for where they mount to the pegs, though. Also have to drill a hole through each nerf bar, where they slip over the bar that clamps to the frame. It's not very hard to do.
-
I have graydon prolines and I love them. I have them mounted along with Roll design/IMS footpegs. I also have a brand new set of AC standard nerfs(aluminum) with black nets that I am looking to sell. They bolt up to the stock pegs.

I voted silver lake, although badlands is closer and easier for me. I just love the sand . As for the sound restriction, I went 3 times last summer, and got right in, even with old packing. There is 1 BIG downer about SL...getting IN TO THE PARK. They only let so many vehicles into the parking lot at a time. depending on when you get there, there's no telling when you'll actually get in. We waited 4 HOURS one time, and 3 another time. I change my vote! BADLANDS!! It would be much easier to meet up with everyone, there's no sound restrictions, and there's more variety of terrain. From sand to gravel, to pea gravel, to dirt, to mud, to hills, to woods. $15/day $20 for 2 days. need a flag, and can buy them there cheap.

I don't like the soft squishy ones. they make my hands cramp up for some reason. same thing if i wear gloves. I forget what kind mine are, but they are like the factory yamaha grips, but have a soft part where your palm is.

How Did U Fall In Love With The Shee
blk02banshee replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I was at a friend's house in michigan, around 88 or 89, when I first saw a banshee. it was love at first site/sound. i wanted one ever since then, and could'nt afford one, so i got a blaster. Rode that for a while, then one day I was flying across a bridge, and this dude passed me on a wheelie on a banshee, and then followed me to my riding spot. He let me ride it, and I knew that I HAD to have one. After getting turned down by crediters at least 2 dozen times, I finally got mine in october 2001.
