I heard something about a draft on the news, but they're calling it something like "mandatory service" and will be everyone ages 18-49. does'nt matter if you're in school, have kids, are disabled, or anything. They will have jobs for everyone...everything from combat to digging trenches to filing paperwork. Actually, I doubt the draft would even happen, because so many people don't understand everything going on over there, and most people are against it, so would you want someone who does'nt want to be there watching your back? There is a big difference between a soldier who joins voluntarily(sp?) and one who is forced to be there.

wow, that's too bad. I get nervous sometimes going up the dunes that are'nt one-way, because you never know if someone's coming up the other side. I've had a few very close calls, and even got hit once. I thought I was safe idling past a group of parked trucks, when a nut on a 400ex flew between 2 trucks wide open in 5th and blasted my front bumper with his rear tire. I'm lucky I seen him when I did and was able to stop quick, or he would have broad-sided me and I'd prolly be gone. It just spun me around 180*, and ripped my bumper off, and he had a bent rim, axle, swingarm, and frame A few people said the guy was an ass and had been riding like that all day, almost hitting a few people. Always keep your eyes and ears open and assume there's some nut riding like an idiot and that he can pop out from anywhere.

I love pink floyd. I mostly like the older stuff, but I like "learning to fly" for some reason. UMMAGUMMA is probably my most favorite album from them, and division bell my least favorite.

Yep, That's all I use. It's a pain to wash the filter, though, because it repels water so good, lol, but it definately does it's job catching dirt and dust and crap.

My dad has cingular and it kicks ass around here. He has'nt had any problems, and I know when I talk to him, it's clear as can be. My girlfriend has verizon, and it's terrible. She pays more than I do for my nextel, and gets less minutes and no direct connect. As for my nextel...I've had them for almost 5 years, and I have to say it is the best(when I actually have a signal )lol. I think nextel just needs to add more towers and coverage area, and they would be the best.

So do they say what or why it's so bad? And what are they using? they said something about corrosion and electrolosis(sp?)and eating up seals. They all told me that they would'nt run anything but antifreeze mixed with distilled water.

I'm 99% sure I'm going.

I run it, and have'nt had any problems yet, BUT lately I've been hearing from local pro riders and very reputable mechanics, that it's the worst thing you can put in any cooling system. So far, I love it, though, and until I see proof with my own eyes that it's bad, I'm going to continue to run it.

NICE! I might have to order a handful of those, just to have! The biggest cause of ball joint failure, is a leaky or torn boot.

the problem with labor day weekend, is that it's so crowded, chances are you won't even find the people you're meeting up there, and most likely will have to wait 4-5 hours to get in.

You could either fab the stock silencers somehow or buy sparky's. The last time I was there, I think Minkia38 had the rocket pipes with the clamp on sparkys and was able to get in. I think they were rocket pipes...I could be wrong though. I know I barely got in with my pro circuits and sparkys. I was at 95 db and 94 is passing, but they let me slide .

Those dates could work for me ... unless my kid comes early .

I have all my registration stickers and state park passes and the woman is out of town, but I got my son this weekend, and I don't think his little crf50 would make it too far in the sand. ....unlesss ...if I can get my friend frankie to go with his truck, then my kid could ride in the truck.

A friend of mine has a dyno and I talked him into doing my banshee, but he said he needs to know the final drive ratio, because he's gotta enter it into the computer. The clymer's says 41:14, but he says that won't work. It has to be like a car ...for example 3.73:1. In the book it says 41:14(2.929) , so would it be 2.929:1 ??? Yeah, I'm mathmatically challenged, so I would'nt know where to start figuring it out myself. Thanks

The incident that was in that article that I posted happened less than 2 miles from my house. Ever since then, I can't even start my banshee without the cops showing up. It really sucks. I got pissed at my son's mother about a year ago, because she was letting her 9 year old niece give my 5 year old son rides on their 500 polaris. SHe said "if he can ride with YOU why not HER?" My son has been riding with ME since he was 6 months old, and I have 20 years experience. That 9 year old spoiled brat could'nt even reach the foot brake! We argued for months about it, until they sold the quads when one of the neighbor kids almost got hurt. It still pisses me off when I think about it though. It's people like that, that fuel the anti-ATV bullshit.

There was a similar article in our local paper a week or so ago. . There's a group out here now, trying to get all ATVs banned, and trying to get a nationwide recall on all 3-wheelers. It's insane! I'll have to see if I can find the article online. here's one from last week: ATV ARTICLE

yamalube has proven itself to me over and over, so to me, there is'nt any other oils. I got an old arctic cat sled from a friend that kept burning up cylinders, and I had to modify a right hand cyl to fit on the left side, by cutting all the cooling fins off of it. every part of the motor was used, including the rings, but I did it as an experiment. I ran yamalube in it from the beginning, and it will be going on it's 5th season! It always starts on the 1st or 2nd pull and I've tried over and over to blow it up, and it just keeps on going.

We had that seatbelt ticket day crap the other day, too. My friend got nailed by them, got a $75 ticket, they made him pay cash on the spot or take his liscense, then they tried to arrest him for turning around (3 point turn) in the street! yeah, WTF, it was THEM who pulled him over onto a DEAD END street. lol
