  1. Did that solve it for you? I was thinking about the choke knob. the last time I washed it, I took a paper towel, and dried off the choke knob, seal, and rod, before I started it, and the throttle did'nt stick at all.
  2. I'd like to check that place out sometime. We go to PA all the time. My girlfriend is from pittsburgh area. What's another 300 miles?
  3. i`m outta them factory second condoms you gave me clint, stop over i`ll trade you some old e malt liquor again for some more.i gotta go my kids are screaming. LMFAO!
  4. I know there was a long thread about this , but I could'nt find it, so I guess I'll have to start another. Like most people's banshees with stock carbs, the throttle sticks when they get wet. Mine does it when I wash it or ride through deep water, and usually clears up after a few minutes of riding. The other day, I was riding in very foggy conditions, and my throttle was sticking real bad. The next day, after washing it, I blew off the carbs with air, and it cleared up faster than usual. I had a few thoughts. I don't remember mine doing this until I got my pipes. I remember someone figuring out that the sticking had something to do with vaccuum, seeing as how they don't stick when the motor is off. DO you think that the aftermarket pipes increase the vaccuum enough to cause this? I was also wondering about the TORS. Has anyone had them stick like that, with the tors removed? THere is a hole in each slide next to the needle. Obviously there is a hole in the cap, where the cable comes through. maybe this has something to do with it? Sorry to brimg up an old topic, but it bothers me that the stock banshee carbs are the only ones that do this, and sometimes water is unavoidable. So I want to figure it out.
  5. Does the warrior have a WARRIOR ENGINE? If it has a R1 motor stuffed in it, he might get ya
  6. I had a shortbed 92 Z71. That thing was awsome. it would go anywhere, and was reliable as hell.
  7. 2002 headlight lens
  8. I've seen it on a website before. Actually, I think it's on yamaha's website .
  9. maybe too much or too little ring end gap?
  10. The fuel would be coming out the overflow at the bottom of the float bowl. The tube I was talking about is that brass tube on an angle in the bowl. fill it just below the top of that brass tube (the brass tube actually sticks up higher than the top of the bowl I think), so just fill the bowl, and see if it comes out the overflow at the bottom of the carb. The stock screw that you took out to put the spigot in, is a drain screw. it's like a faucet valve in a way, and when you loosen it, it allows fuel to drain out through the same hole as the overflow, for draining carbs. If it still does come out the overflow, call dial a jet (thunder products). They are very helpful and I'm sure they will do whatever it takes to make it right.
  11. I have double rates with rezzies. They're alright. They feel a little soft, but they're holding up great. Way better than stock.
  12. 2002 and up have halogen bulbs, and the lenses are different.
  13. I'm a truck driver. 18 wheels of fury . I mostly haul gravel and limestone, but sometimes and most of the winter, I haul precast basement foundations.
  14. Check to make sure that the spigot that they give you to replace the original drain screws is closing tight. One way to make sure, is to take the bowl off, and fill it just under the overflow tube, and see if it still comes out. If not, then change the needle and seats, and/or re adjust the floats.
  15. V-force or Pyrimid? V-force
  16. Man, I could have a list 3 pages long! I'll just narrow them down to 2. Thieves, and dudes who beat on women.
  17. I like mine so far, although I only have 1 good ride on them.
  18. I got 2 also. cable kicks ass
  19. I agree. The hole in the pilot jet is very small, and can clog easily, but seeing as how it fouls, I would first check to make sure the airscrews are turned out the same number of turns.
  20. If you need some help with your carbs, let me know. I'm up that way all the time. My son lives in lake zurich. Beach Park is prolly only 20 or 30 minutes past his house.
  21. It's good to see you're buying your first car with your own money, and doing what it takes to get it. You'll appreciate it a lot more than the kids that have one given to them. If it was me, though, I'd find some other way! I'd sell a kidney before I'd sell my banshee!
  22. by switching to 80:1, you cut the oil in half, so that means more fuel is going through the jets. It could be rich. What do your plugs look like?
  23. Most automotive machine shops will hone 2-stroke cylinders.
  24. I've heard to soak them overnight. Soak them in whatever oil you are going to be running in the gearbox.
  25. weight makes a huge difference. This kid beat me one day with a bone stock banshee. I weigh about 240, and he could'nt be more than 110 . I think the best mod for me, would be to lose some weight .
