  1. I thought rm and ricky were the same? Anyhow I swapped it onto my friends stock shee today while we had the flywheel cover off. She ran and revved great at +4. So it is in good working order

  4. I could see where it might not effect compression as much but to have the rings and skirt travel on an uneven / grooved surface is asking for trouble. I would never recommend doing such a thing, but everyone is different and if it makes that individual happy - then ride on lol. Its one of those situations that could work for 5 minutes or 5 years. Is what it is. Your going the right route sleeving both.
  5. Air screws should be close to the same adjustment for each other. Syncing idle is easy. Syncing at 1/4 throttle or higher is time consuming but still simple. U have to be sure the throttle is held steady and you will have to adjust the cables via the cap screws to pull evenly. Once you've got it all, lock her down and go for a ride.
  6. I will weigh a fireball axle and post some specs on it next time i get one in or remove mine. I will make the post elsewhere, not going to hijack this thread. Nice weight savings. You would be surprised how you can improve performance shaving weight where it counts
  7. You won't be able to take full advantage of a cool head without some good port work. This is an opertunity. Send your cylinders to a builder, have them port or re-work existing work to what you are looking for and have custom domes cut for your cool head. Then ride on
  8. Jeff at FAST does excellent work and is a great guy to deal with. He has my vote
  9. Are you sure the bowls are on the right carbs? They ARE different. The carb with the choke plunger (left side) has a small brass bb in the bottom side of the bowl. Behind this is a metering jet for flow through the choke tube between the two carbs. If the bowl is on wrong it will spit and pop and won't run worth a damn. This will cause symptoms very close to what you are describing. Make double sure about the float height mentioned above and be sure the bowls are on the right carbs then report back to us.
  10. ^ ^ ^ This. A nicely ported and complimented stock cylinder bike will be a runner and have all the power you will want for a while. But the need for more always takes over lol.
  11. Bump. No one needs a nice timing plate? billet is much stronger than cheap cast plates. Make me an offer.
  12. http://www.duncanracing.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=DR-3003 Nice condition Duncan Racing billet adjustable timing plate for banshee. Goes up to 10* each direction. Light marks from being used, all threads good, excellent shape ready to run! $55 shipped. Please gift payment or cover fee's to Jon@Younggunsracing.com Thanks!
  13. My high revs i used to have never hit the fuel petcock, are you sure the head pipes are on the right sides? Dont mount the header pipes holder tab until you've fit the head pipes like you've wanted them.
  14. Should all be explained here in our ad. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=172664
  15. The banshee has to be one of the best "bang for the buck" bikes available for the mods you can do. They can be easily faster than most modern 450's with an air cleaner, pipe and jetting. Pretty sweet for such an old setup.
  16. Yes just the rears. Yeah they work well in an 8" but they would be more desirable as 9"s i think. If you run your tires very low on PSI when racing and have ever had em spin off the rim and unseat the beads these rims won't allow that to happen. They are great for rough trails and sand, bead locks really help keep crap out of the bead area. Bump! Don't be affraid to shoot me offers.
  17. Buyer wants a used axle and carrier. Good luck with purchase.
  18. Lol sorry bud, if you want to sell that yoshi pipe and stockpile some cash that would work better! I couldnt make you a reasonable offer / price difference for your yoshi pipe.
