  1. Thats my point as well, i like the idea of velocity and a very well shaped tunnel. Im sure I will experiment with the transfers more but for now, we'll try em out and if we work em a little more, thats fine too. Better to less off for now. Once its gone cant put it back lol. Theres still some material blocking the port from the angle in that pic. They are very close and will be finished exactly the same.
  2. Thanks! You and I both. This has been a long time coming for us so I am happy to see things coming together.
  3. Got a 4 mil long rod crank, need all the others listed still! Keep em comin!
  4. Already mapped things out with a degree wheel. exhaust is going to be about 195* and transfers 128*
  5. Started a little port work on a stock cylinder i received from HQ members who sold them to me for this purpose. Got the exhaust close to where I want it, a few minor adjustments to it and it will be finished. Intake is cut in, just need to put some finishing touches on it and clean it up a bit more. The transfer tunnels are pretty well done for now, just waiting on my right angle tool so i can finish the transfer ports and then we will see what it looks like all finished up! Here are some pics for now. NOTE:: We are NOT taking cylinders for in house port work yet! I am not comfortable offering these services until we have a little dyno time and real world time on them. Rather be safe than sorry. Anyhow here are some pics of the rough cuts I have going on so far. ( I played with sanding and polishing the exhaust a little, no point seeing as its not finished yet but what the hell).
  6. bump for a good seller and a nice setup
  7. CDI from a running 2006 Yamaha YFZ450. Asking $50 shipped. PM me with any requests. Thanks!
  8. I will be at the go broke racing events and at slades park and newtown this year. Hope to see you all there! Bad ass site Bret. Keep it up!
  9. X2. Good for nothing. Get a nice set of intakes and be done with it. Make sure they are matched to the vforce reeds. As for the ideals of angling the intake to focus on the boost ports and the intake ports to obtain the "flow" you want, that's all in design. If you believe in what you are doing have confidence and go with it. If it performs to your liking then you did a great job. I've seen hack jobs feel like they run very well...never for long but nonetheless you seem like you are doing very well for a first timer. Congrats. Keep at it, as I said you are not an engine builder, no need to chase big dyno numbers. If you are satisfied at how well it runs then you accomplished exactly what you set out to do. Everyone does these different and most won't give up any "secrets" anyhow so any opinions you do get wil likely differ. I hope you do find help and I wish you all the best in this venture.
  10. Already have one, just like the hands on approach sometimes. Every cylinder is slighty different. And sometimes it just feels good to go old school If you post a response here in the thread please include a shipped asking price if possible? Thanks to all so far! I have one 4 mil crank pending
  11. Need your broken stroker crankshafts for cylinder work purposes. It only needs to have one useable rod on it and i do not need anything special. These cranks will be dropped into an unuseable set of cases for getting degrees on cylinders for our port work. Currently I am not looking for anything larger than a 10 mil crank. I am only looking to use the cranks as tools so I am not trying to pay top dollar for a rebuildable billet crank. Please keep that in mind. I will update the list as I get what i need. Let me know what ya got! Shoot me a PM. Thanks! Stock Crank -- Have plenty Stock Stroke Long Rod -- Need 4 Mil Long Rod -- Purchased 4 Mil Short Rod -- Need 7 Mil 115 Rod -- Need 10 Mil 115 Rod -- Need

  15. I've had many of those brands up to 80mph+ as well with no issues. x2 on checking the rims and maybe the axle / bearings.
  16. Unsure of that yet. I may have lots of local donations in parts and in funds to get this done with little to no cost aside from labor here at the shop. All in all I do not have an answer for that at the moment.
  17. Well as it is well known lots of folks have been effected by breast cancer and the hardships that come along with it. Personally it has effected some very close friends of mine and a family member as well. There are already lots of people doing great things and making donations to help with awareness and helping to find a cure. I've been kicking this idea around for a while so here it goes... Thinking about building a breast cancer themed banshee. Probably a trail bike instead of a drag bike so whoever buys it would have something nice to ride on the occasion instead of having to find a drag strip to enjoy it. Anyhow, nothing too fancy but just enough to make a nice bike. Throughout the build I would keep things posted as to what we would need/be looking for as we make this happen. Donations would be appreciated but I am not going to ask everyone for a handout. In the end I would sell / auction off the bike and donate all the proceeds to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation. I think this would go towards a great cause and it would also be a good reputation for our company and what we do. What I am asking currently from you folks all here on the HQ is a simple question...What do you think of such a thing? Thanks for your time. We appreciate you stopping by to read this.
  18. This things been in magazines and pictures for so long. It seems i cant go a week without hearing about it or seeing it again. Definitely cool and one hell of a project, but a banshee, it is not.
  19. Don't know what your price range is at the moment bud, but I have a nice "pre-order" special going on these right now if you would be considering brand new. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=172983&page=2#entry1569151
  20. I can set you up with a nice 10mil cub top end brand new. We have a "pre order" special going on for 5 units and have a voucher for 1 unit so far, 4 more spots left.
  21. If you truely want to get "the most out of it" save up some money and have your cylinders ported. Have your stock head milled and rechambered for now or try pick up a nice cool head here on the hq and have custom domes cut for it. Timing plate and Vf4's are a great addition and then you will be able to take full advantage of those cpi pipes. Your already on the right track, don't shortcut yourself. Save up some money and unleash some real power. And if its been running for 8 years untouched, the top end would probably benefit from a little attention. It would be a good thing.
  22. http://www.snopes.com/politics/conspiracy/femacoffins.asp I'll keep my guns and my constitutional right, you can have the change. True or not just so much shady business going on in politics that concern guns. If you wanna give up yours that's fine, but don't judge me for keeping mine.
  23. I applaude you taking the plunge, even more so doing this with pencil grinders, it aill take forever. But perhaps it is a good thing, slow and steady is best. Keep up the research and attempts, you don't have to chase big dyno numbers if what you get is what you wanted out of it. Plus u will have some self satisfaction in the work. Trust me there will be many errors before you get your tecniques where you want them. I have 2 sets of stock jugs that are completely un usable, so I have been using them for triple exhaust port designs and playing with overly large boost ports. Not really leading anywhere at the moment but giving off a good basis at the potential of these cylinders. Good luck with your work
  24. Got em! Thank ya factory
