  1. Well here we go again. The quad was running perfect and my son got it out for his first spring ride and the same thing. Starts then stalls. Was running great when we fixed it last time.
  2. Well my bad on this one. We checked all electrics and everything seemed fine. Lots of spark. We re-checked the carb sync and it was out by 1/16. Readjusted the throttle cable and it fired right up and purred like a kitten. My son rode it for 20 mins said it ran great. The one throttle cable was not seated in the adjuster on the cap all the way in. Lesson learned.
  3. Yes it is running rich. When it did start if you touched the throttle it bogged out.
  4. Off on switches and key? It has fullbore fenders on it. Ignition key is jerryrigged out the right side of the rad. Had to pull the old throttle cable past it to remove it. Good thought. I will check that the Ignition wires were not loosened when i pulled the old throttle cable through. Thanks.
  5. Yes it has the tors delete idle screws on each carb. I did not move them. I adjusted the carb sync by using the adjusting nuts on the carb caps. I cant see how turning the idle screws in will help. Its getting too much fuel as it is. I did not remove the carbs or touch anything else other than removing the carb caps to get the old cables out of the slides. I myself suspect an electrical issue. When i cut the wire ties off the main wiring harness maybe i disturbed a wire. We are going over it this upcoming monday and re-checking everything. It has to be something simple.
  6. Also my friend who is a banshee expert who owns 12, yes 12 banshees says the plugs are fouled. I put in two new plugs wont start at all now.
  7. No. Touched non of that. And tube between carbs is intact. Also i did not put the left carb slide in the right side carb.
  8. Also compression is good and plugs are very wet. Checked spark. Lots.
  9. Hi my son has a 2001 banshee with a twist throttle. I bought him a thumb throttle and replaced it with the twist throttle last week. The twist throttle cable was longer but i had a spare motion pro cable which i installed. Yes his banshee has the tors delete kit on it. I syncronised the carbs and now it fires up first kick and then just dies. Ran perfect before we put the thumb throttle on. Any ideas?
  10. well actually I was expecting more power!! sure the fmfs are good pipes but there are way better other pipes on the market. obviously I need to rejet richer so that's where ill start. and seriously I don't know why theres so many dynoport haters out there!!
  11. I just bought a used dynoport pipe for my 01 banshee and it falls flat in the mid/top end. I was using fmf pipes which worked good but I have always wanted to try a dynoport and I got the complete system for 120 bucks. any banshee owners out there with this pipe that can tell me how to jet for this pipe? I will assume it needs richer jetting ?
  12. yeah nice, hq general, so are you saying they wont work?? the ad did not show the different reed, btw I paid .17 bucks for them and the seller will refund me or give me a 50 percent discount By my calculations that's 8.50 for the set not a huge loss!! reed blocks are perfect and so are the reeds even though one is different. I have ran banshees for 25 years and I am 48 years old . was just asking an honest question Personally I think you Americanos have way too much my shit don't stink attitude, We are not all dumbfuck rednecks out here!!
  13. I bought a stock set of banshee reed blocks with boyesen reeds from ebay and when I got them 3 reeds are single stage reeds and 1 reed is a dual stage reed..does anyone know if these will work properly??? also the reed stoppers are still on wtf???
  14. I need this clutch cable, is it still available?
