they magnatize it then put metal powder on it and it won't stick to a crack, a scratch it will , worth the effort to not take out other parts later. I think it is a crack,to jagged to be a scatch
ouch looks like time for a crank rebuild,some pistons and cylinders, check the forsale section on here for some used cylinders, there were some ported ones at a good price.
I run the yamaha oil for the trans just go to the dealer and ask for it, also mine would do that and the shift claw was bent a little,and do yourself a favor and put a modded shiftstar in it.

the slides only fit in the carb they belong in make sure the marks on the slides line up with the windows in the carb at wot

stock rod length is 110mm you can get a 4mil with 110mm or 115mm rods, the stroke is the length from the center of the crank to the center of the lower rod pin
I ran my scat trak haulers this weekend for the first time, wow they hook awsome. they are 8 paddles and hook better than the 10 paddle extremes I borrowed

big dif 33s or 35s are to much for your mods, low end will suffer. my sons has stock cyls dune port with the stock carbs 26s with the bores polished and runs great.
