  1. also.....even when your clutch is correctly adjusted the charecteristics of these bikes will still jump when you first put the bike into gear from neutral...
  2. that's not a bad idea you got there BigRed.......my question though.......does it cause mis-shift or accidental shifts if your trail riding a real rough section?
  3. call up a site sponsor and drop your TORS units like a bad habbit. it'll make getting them in sync and working on your carbs all around WAY easier...
  4. avoid vitos....not the best stuff.......and like i said....GO THROUGH OUR SITE SPONSORS. i told you they can get them cheaper! you looked ebay and immediately got down when you saw the price of 220-240. if you call our sponsors you'd know that they can do the wiseco pro-lites closer to the $180 mark....
  5. Did you put the choke crossover tube in place?
  6. if you had an 01 style connector i'd let ya try mine....but damn they wont fit.....sorry man.
  7. ive heard that reeds will not hurt your motor.....unless you have the ancient aftermarket style metal ones....
  8. check your flywheel key then....could have sheared off and be causing a timing issue...
  9. usually compression on a fresh rebuild is between 125-130. doesnt' sound bad.
  10. its easier to list what companies you should go WITH. Wiseco....pro-lites. you can get them cheaper than just about anywhere if you get them through our site sponsors.......some of the top sponsors on here are Jeff from FAST, Kevin from HJR, Andy from M & M, redline racing, and wildcard
  11. also do a compression test.....these two tests can tell you alot and whether you need to tear it down or whether you caught it before the top end grenaded itself...
  12. have you done a leakdown test after it started revving up high? the ignition should not have anything to do with causing a high rev issue.
  13. rebuilt your carbs huh? did you put the cross-over tube back in place to connect the two carbs choke circuits? Did you take the carbs apart seperately or together......the carbs internals ARE different and are side specific....but they can be put in the wrong carb...just 180* backwards...
  14. that is correct. The banshee cylinder can be bored a MAXIMUM total of to .10 over...........but at .10 that is really stretchin the limitations.. most will only go to .080 over...........as that is the safest maximum that people have had good success with..
  15. the smallest bore that they make pistons for (wiseco) is .010 over. You can get these pistons through any of our site sponsors.
  16. holy...shit. That is some SERIOUSLY good carnage. i think you take the cake for the scariest looking pistons this week. I doubt that much destruction was caused by deto......its looks like something may have done the "cha cha-im gonna bang your shit to hell" dance all over your pistons. You really need to split your cases and check out all your bearings and your rods.....check everything cause it sure looks like you're gonna have a mess inside your cases.
  17. hey now.....dont have to toss "idiot" at me.........i just said now i know why people just try to use kicking compression.. NEVER said that i wouldn't do it..........its just alot of work.
  18. ahhh.....learn something new everday...
  19. yea i know he's not ported....i was just tryin to use my 310 with a port as a reference for him........im thinkin even a 300 may be a little too fat still...
  20. Fuck me......now i know why people opt to just try and use the kicking compression to guage whether they will need a higher octane.....
  21. F.A.S.T. Racing, Herr Juggs racing, RDZ, Passion........where are all these choices......these guys are sponsor of ours and can make a bike haul some serious ass!
  22. holy shit....80-90hp.....without spending alot of money.... honestly to get those your going to have to work some magic with porting and exhuast combos. your gonna need to be in the 4mil crank area also. and now your talking replacing the crank, different pistons, port work to match the 4mil, bigger carbs, blah blah blah......... and RACE GAS. and it MAY pull from mid to top nicely.....but low is gonna be kinda hurt from all the work. NOW.....if your trying to get 80-90hp and want it to pull all the way from the low then i would suggest contacting a site sponsor and talking to them about a 4mil serval. The serval cylinders are known for pulling all the way from low to the top top end and also make 80+ hp on PUMP GAS.
  23. WELL??? where the hell are those damn pictures of the carnage?
  24. weld crank cool-head forged pistons (like wiseco pro-lites) carbs trans mods it all depends on where you want your power at. Are you trying to do a drag motor or a trail motor or a dune motor? also you may want to think about swapping your pipes as T6's work well with stock motors, and slightly modified motors....however most have not had good luck or seen good performance out of the t6's in a ported motor
  25. whats your elevation? im running a 310 at 1100 ft but i also have a 2-1 air-filter, fmf exhaust, play/dune port, and +4 timing
