  1. When a consensus is reached, those that use two of the three options will be gone. There is also hydrolic fluid that is wet clutch compatible.

  3. Sea Foam and Scotch Brite pad for carbon. Birchwood Casey gun scrubber will disolve 3bond, probably anything else too.
  4. I don't think a 4poke quad would be much different really. A big ole V-8 yeah. Hell, if the chokers get nearly a 2;1 displacement handicap for Mx, boring one 1mm isn't going to make much difference. To O P, only bore whats needed to straighten the bore and run them. If it don't make enough power, look into more aggresive porting. Or just sell those jugs now and get some cubs. JMHO, your results may, and will vary.
  5. Different gas? Fuel ratio? Dirt in carbs? Plug fouling? Loose wires? Pic-up? Run through mud? Dirty air filter?

  10. Guess I should have also mentioned this a bike my son might look at. One of his co-workers. I guess the guy reused head O-rings and it leaked, no idea why head was off. My son says he might be tired of working on it, for what ever reason. He's considering it either as a flipper, or even to ride. Price is between 4-600, TBD. I did check Langcourt and Millinium, not much diff in price.
  11. Does anyone have pics of worn or damaged Nikasil? Would coolant cause damage in running eng, obviously would wash the oil off, but would it cause flaking, etc? I do know the engine didn't hydro lock, but what might be indication of a bent rod? Only experiance I have is they are either good or severely bent. LOL Also, any recomendations on platers, other than Millinium, not that there is anything wrong with them, as I have used them once. Might be price shopping. BTW, this is for a 99 RM 250, sorry but this is only section I thought it might get noticed. Thanks!!

  13. Did you completely disassemble carbs, or called a quick douce with spray clean? I use compressed air to be sure every passage is open. JMHO, your results may, and will vary.

  15. As mentioned do a leak test. OR the pipe could be really coated with oil and will take considerable time to burn off. How long did you run it after new seal?

  23. My bet is the rod big end shit a bearing. Pull the jugs and check. I'd like to see your parts list for a $600 build, don't think you could do it with a Wang crank.
