  1. Grammar Nazis love shit like your post. Don't give the "phone" excuse. Da Fugg? Go back to the kill switch, best I can tell from you shit sentance, that's where trouble started. Not all switches are the same. Some are normally open, some normally closed. Gotta know what you're trying to use.
  2. Well that's a Horse of a different color. Drain collant, drain oil or tip on side. remove clutch cover. Swap impellor. Just another job for a Clymers Manual. Lots of "little" things left out. Highly suggest rebuilding pump if you're fucking with it. Atleast a seal and O ring on tube.
  3. This is a joke, right ??
  4. Unless you have other mods, stock will be fine. Which, with a single carb I doubt you have more than pipes and a filter. Way to easy to fall into "I need bigger carbs to go fast" hole. Depending on various things, you may lose driveability with bigger carbs, and way to big are a tuning nightmare.
  5. See, it's people like you that will give Banshees a bad rap. Don't know or care to learn about Banshees or two strokes in general. Given advice, doesn't follow it. You need to search and read up on leak-down tests, plug chop, just generally look at threads in the jetting section. You will learn tons about the subject. When a new thread comes up about jetting, follow it. Learn the process, see how the thread evolves. In the jetting forum, read the sticky thread "What jets are you running" You may find a set-up simular to yours. Just know that no two machines are identical and may need slightly different jetting. Only you can determine what is right for your setup. Also google search spark plugs, piston wash, and melted pistons. BTW, a 2s always runs great just before they blow up. Lean is mean, but not for long.
  6. Make sure the hose isn't gummy rubber, get new, quality hoses.
  7. Is this after a proper plug chop (or plug "reading") or just after riding for a bit? World of difference between the two.
  8. So, you took it to Ben Dover Motorsports for carb clean and jetting? Carbs leak and runs like shit? Did you get a kiss with that fucking? What brand comp tester are you using and how did you test? List your mods and current jetting.
  9. Bad mojo saying your Pet Cock can fuck off. It's all part of a system. At least clean the bitch, and clean tank out while you're at it. As to jetting, I've seen mention of melting down on a dyno trying one size smaller, and that's only a ten second pull. Maybe list all your mods, temp, elev, and current jetting, someone will let you know if you are close, or where you should start.
  10. Stay the fuck away from Evil Bay . Engine depends on Mechanical and Monitary abilities.
  11. Should have washed it before tearing it down.
  12. If you haven't upped the jetting for the elevation drop you may be dangerously lean. Have seen mention of melting down on dyno from trying one size smaller to get one more HP. That's what? 10 seconds? Just remember, they always run great, just before they blow up.
  13. Cold is relative. If you can't drive on your fuckin lakes, it's not cold.
  14. BTW, looks nice !! Though I thought 87 had orangeish red frame?
  15. So, you did machine work for re-sleave your self?? Know where you can get a Kwik-way boreing machine if interested. PM me.
  16. Oooppps, never seize is actually nickle based.
  17. Doubt a plastic gear would make much noise, no matter condition. Bearing is another story. Also check idler gear for kick starter, and for shits and giggles clutch hub.
  18. good luck getting a motor built before start of season.
  19. Coloration is from being hot/running on lean side. Affects nothing but looks. Hard pressed to find used without some color.
  20. Get stainless never seize then.
  21. Well, don't know what kind of shit you have, but mine is some kind of petro base permatex brand. Do what ya like, don't matter two fucks to me.
  22. Big dents. Don't let them bullshit you, dents do affect them. Make sure you get silencers with them too. unless premo condition, pay less than half of retail. Dents can be gotten out, just not easily. Extra deduction for dents larger than half marbel size (deep/around)
  23. If you do swing arm or carrier brgs, put a grease zerk in it. Don't put the swinger right in the middle, hard to get at with shock in way. Coat swinger bolt with anti-seize. Same with axle where it slides through sleeve, same with a-arm bolts.
  24. Pics of kits? Think they'd fit FMF? How much for just stickers?
