  1. Will a blaster clutch cable work on a banshee. I broke mine today and I have a race on Saturday and the new one won't be here till next week
  2. Yeah that's my plan. I want something that's honna run hard abs be competitive
  3. Yeah I was think about just running the flat track for this season and getting back into the swing of things. I use to race a 250r and a set of predator 500s but after having a daughter that whent away and Ive been wanting to get back into it. And I got the banshee from a friend who owed me some loot. And said what the hell why not get back into it
  4. I'm thinking about puttinf a cool head on it. Getting the suspenion/gearing set up right and seeing how it reacts to that. Then building a motor during the off season
  5. Yeah the seasons starts on the 28th of this month so. I'm debating on buying a second motor. Guy here on my local craglist has a bone stock motor for 600 bucks. I was thinks of having the motor built this season and maybe have it done by the last couple months of the season. Which Sponsors on here make/sell extended j-arms?
  6. The chassis is a j arm set up. Still looking for a decent price on extended j arms. Just picked up a set of works triple rates for the front. Still looking for a rear. I might go with a r6 shock for now. Rest of the suspension the suspension is stock. I have a swaybar. It's more of oval. I was also thinking of having redline do the motor work. A lot of guys on here speak pretty highly of him
  7. Hey guys looking to find out what would a good flat track engine. It's a 1/5th mile track. IM going to be running flat track and TT there. Right now all the bike has is its bored .20 over with wiesco pistons, boysen carbon fiber reeds and cages,+4 timing advance, fmf gnarly pipes with powercore silencers. That's about it. This is how I bought the bike. I'm just looking for a good reliable motor. There's only 14 races in the season. So if I have to rebuild it once a season I'm fine with that. I just wanna walk all over the 4 pokes. Thanks in advance guys
  8. Ok guys thanks. I just didn't want to ruin a perfectly good stock harness
  9. Does anybody know where I can just buy the plugs and pins for a 89 banshee. Looking for the plugs for the cdi and stator. Because I wanna make my own drag harness cause it's gonna be nothing but a flat track back all I need it just cdi to stator and a kill switch and cool wires. I already have the diagram for the drag harness. I just don't wanna hack up a good stock harness
  10. Looking for a set of TT/ flat track tires on rims
  11. Ok that's what I was thinking. Maybe some carbon/corosion between the aluminum and steel
  12. Hey guys I removed the 6 8mm bolts holding My fmf power core silencers together. Should they just pull apart or do they need a little persuasion. I want to talk then part and re pack them and polish the body's. And try to polish the rest of the pipes cause there pretty rusted. Thanks for any help in advance
  13. Yeah that's what my friends keep telling me. To spend a little extra and get atleast some used aftermarket shocks
  14. Ok great thanks yeah I heard a r6 shock in the rear and 300ex shocks in the front. Get it pretty low. But then I've seen on here r6 or r1 shocks all the way around work pretty well but there very still. I just wanna be able to put them on and race a few races to see if it's something i wanna pursue without breaking the bank.
