  1. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=leakdown+test+%2B+Banshee+HQ http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+to+build+a+leaktester+%2B+Banshee+HQ Where you at? I'll give you $600 for your "piece of FUCK"as it sits now,
  2. "Some" brake cleaners seem to work ok, laquer thinner or Cassey-Birchwood Gun scrubber melts that shit good. Use a plumbers acid brush to spread sealer evenly, try not to get it in threaded holes. Make sure they are cleaned out too.
  3. Hope you got that piece of shit out of the oil hole in the first pic. Did you even clean it before you tore it apart? Have you done a leak test before you start it?
  4. other than you need to let it cure for 24hrs, means either you won't ride today, or they will still be leaking. Plus both pieces need to be oil free so the shit can stick.
  5. Umm, other than those big ass pipes you might be right
  6. Any pits on the piston dome of pitted head side? If not I would say it's previous damage from crank failure. However, wouldn't hurt to pull that jug to check piston.
  7. Never heard of one either. Post up if and where you find a ceramic ball.
  8. Drain coolant from cyl before removing head.
  9. Any clue what brand those pistons are? Look to see if the ring locater pin is still in the piston. Looks like a fresh bore is in your future.
  10. What brand head do they fit?
  11. Seeing as the banshee only has 4 bolts per cage, no fucking clue what your pic is of.
  12. You could use Illinois Power Sports, Windy's favorite place. Internet humor, it's a funny thing. While I'm not big on the sponser B. S. you mentioned FAST. Thick skin is mandatory around here.
  13. Ya buying or selling?
  14. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=How+to+do+a+Leakdown+test+%2B+Banshee+HQ
  15. Simple coincedence. Which is why I asked if it was layed over to do the work. Trash could have got jiggled loose. So, no matter, just start going through complete fuel and electrical system. It will be the simplist , stupidist, and last thing you check.
  16. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/products.asp?make=YAMAHA&model=BANSHEE&offset=270&cat= Seems like FAST is about same on piston prices. If you are worried about wether the pic shows the rings in or out of packaging, you need to buy a clue. What the fuck, I'll give you one free. IT DON"T FUCKING MATTER !! Unless that's the only set seller has, it's a "stock" photo. O, and good luck getting a shop to "tune" it after it's together. Let us know how that goes, and what it costs.
  17. One of the sponsers has steel bushinf for it. Think t's FAST. Be sur to install ring correct direction
  18. I used some spray copper, way easier. Hate working with Yamabond/3bond.
  19. Clean hole with brake clean, fill with Yama bond. Have manifold assembled with bolt in as not to use too much.
  20. By chance did you lay bike over on side to do the work?
  21. What did your plugs look like last time you checked them? Checked since this issue? Both the same? One different? Does it look "washed" clean? As mentioned get cooling system tester on loan a tool from AZ or such. Only way to know for sure if it's leaking anywhere.
  22. First thing is buy a Clymers repair manual. Maybe a clue or two. Your "machinist" should have the pistons on hand before he starts boreing. If he doesn't know this, might want to find one that does. Without pics can presume case damage was from conrod that got loose. Won't hurt a thing. Mull makes a good pump and shaft. New OEM is good also. If you can't find Banshee water pumps on the netz, you're worse than this caveman. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Yamaha+Banshee+water+pump
