  1. Make sure you use a flywheel puller. Make sure poles on stator are clean/no rust. Clean lugs on outside of flywheel for pick-up coil (no rust), clean pick-up coil, gap .018 - .020. X-2 on plug caps.
  2. Make sure it is adjusted correctly first. Then take it out and get it up into higher gear to put a load on it,give it throttle and pull in on clutch. Do this several times. If this doesn't work pull clutch apart, steel plates are probably rusted.
  3. You get what you pay for. It costs the same to bore it wether you use weisco or economy pistons. If you ride on the ragged edge all the time I wouldn't. Does anyone ride a Banshee easy?
  4. If you got money to blow click here!!! I'll bet you could BLOW a lot there!! WOW simpley wild !!!
  5. If you're only getting up to 3rd,probably not WOT, therefor on neddle part of carb. raise neddle one step. try that, maybe 2 steps.Plug chop will only show WOT/main jet. Also check that radiator doesn't have mud deep in fins, fins are straight. Maybe try water wetter or engine ice. Hope this helps.
  6. Think it's dead there, come to Michigan. One place I ride, Bull Gap, is dead as a graveyard. In the past lucky to find parking spot, now lucky to find someone to park next to. Sh!t really sucks here. wish I could find a real job!!
  7. A Clymers manual, Yamabond or three bond, gaskets, seals, tab lockwashers for clutch and sprocket (maybe), depending on runtime maybe rings. Sure ther's something else I forgot.
  8. Personally my friend and I built a drag bike with 550 cat motor. I don't know if shee frame is long enough, I think it's about 12inches from center of crank to center of clutch for large A.C. motors (550 was 10.2 cl/cl) We used A.C. chain case for additional gear reduction so we didn't need giant rear sprocket. Biggest thing is making sure shafts are parralell. One nice thing is that CVT is consistant and you can't miss a shift. Down side is initial setup/dial in.
  9. First off be sure you didn't leak fuel into lower crankcase. pull both plugs and kick over several times. Otherwise could hydrolock and bend rod. Did kit come with float needle? Double check that floats aren't hanging up.
  10. Are there any other shocks that would work on 'shee with a little modification engineering? Reason I ask cuz I saw a pair of 400ex shocks for $25. Just wondering if there is something better than stock but more economical than yfz? thanks.
  11. X2 on 25million, looks like NASA designed it. Unless it had low range it wouldn't have the BALLS to tow. Only thing good from J A Pan is motorcycles. Read the lables, everything comes from China. Without our industrial base WE ARE FUCKED!!!!!!! Most chinese shit is junk, boss had a pair of channel lock plyers that I broke with a double handed Gorrilla Grip just squezing them.
  12. Does that have exhaust valve (power valve)? There is a needed clearance between valve and piston. Very easy for junk to be sucked/blown up through transfer ports.Might also check that there isn't any junk in the pipe.
  13. Just what is the crossover tube supposed to do? I've never seen one on any other multi cyl 2 stroke.
  14. From what I've seen and used in the Clymer's in the last month for a total teardown because of drownding in a mudhole, the only thing a "service" manual could tell me is which way to shake my "willie". Just my .02. Granted I've used some Chilton's and Hayes auto manuals,IT tractor manual that left a lot to be desired, but Clymer's is great.
  15. How much does this add? Never found anything with search before (found too much). NOW I see what is being done.Thanks.
  16. Get a Clymers manual. It gives all wear tolerances of crank. Should be able to at least check side clearance of big end, small end free play.
  17. Some people may just be wishing (me included), some may be fishing some holding out for smoking deal. It's pretty rough right now, not everyone has extra $. Pick one item you want to sell, Check E-bay for exact same item (say, stock shocks), price yours less, Sold!! Gain feedback, rep, more sales. As far as e mail links/whatever I have NFC. Just my $.02 My self I'd be leary of used parts from the other side of country. Maybe try a little patience. JMO.
  18. Or whhaaattt .lol
  19. Not a good idea, your'e running it lean. If you don't have a kill switch, put it in gear, hold brake, pop clutch.
  20. X-2 on new crank. IMO rebuilt should mean just as new, even if it was your crank rebuilt, if it needed a new rod or brg it should be to "specifications" when it ships.
  21. My son's shee had simular problem. Had spark both sides, but not fire. Cleaned poles on stator, inside of flwheel, lugs for pickup, and pickup coil. Gapped at 18tho, problem solved. Hope this helps.
  22. Don't look to bad. I'd get it welded if you have the chunk that came out. I'd take clutch arm and seal out because of heat. Get it welded both sides, grind/sand down top side. Should be golden.
  23. What's a desert seat? More foam?
  24. Snorkel is rubber tube from air box lid to up under tank, 4-5in long.
  25. Lighting coil is sepreate. I had to pull flywheel and clean poles on stator to get good spark.
