  1. Mass air flow sensor cleaner reall cuts shit, but pricey, CRC MAF cleaner $8 local to me
  2. If it were me , I would ask the instructor for some help!!
  3. $5 can of rustoleum, bamm done. Maybe extra clear and or chip guard. Not EVERYONE has the $$$$ to whip up new arms , JMHO.
  4. Non replaceable,time for new.
  5. here we go again !! Must be because it's a 450 lol.
  6. My son's 'shee is exactly what your describing. 4mil, long rod, 795 pistons, 2mil solid copper head gasket,no porting or head work, stock pipes. Wouldn't have known it had this if he hadn't flipped it into a mud hole and I had to take the engine COMPLETLY apart.Previous owner said nothing about it, probably didn't know. IMHO doing it that way is an option for you, you can do the porting and other stuff later when you have $ and time (winter). Got a set of pipes for son, and when he wants more power I'll get it ported. Hope this helps you.
  7. I hear you about dumb stuff. Son got a shee bout year ago, foot peg were welded to frame, bolts welded to pegs (heavy tacks) . For 1000$ didn't expect much. Some obvious jump out at you, but try removing side cover with pegs on. Definately get motor mounts.
  8. Also check that flywheel is tight and key is good.
  9. Check your wireing, remove flwheel if you have to. Check for lose plugs, broken wires. Check pick-up coil gap to flywheel. Check switches, check ground for coil and CDI , MUST be clean bare metal. This a no cost diagnosis, except flwheel puller (a must). Check for rust on flywheel and stator poles.
  10. I'm no rocket scientist but unless some one is milling and releiving bolt holes for free, put the money towards a port job. Any time I've had doubts about my abilities in any given project I end up regreting having started it. Btw I've done some porting, my first with die files and sanding rolls, (many, many years ago, when a T-500 was relatively new, lol)
  11. Also depends on local market, if you don't have to sell it , I'd hold on price. Maybe be willing to go $100 on final bargining.
  12. I just love threads like this !! How people think that THEY can defy the laws of physics is amazing. If you are talking Macomb county in Michigan , PM me and I will volunteer to be the neutral third party observer. BTW, I have a sled powered drag bike so I know what it takes to do 120 in the quarter.
  13. Welcome to B H Q !! Shouldda joined before you blew it up !! Just kidding, welcome. Tons of information and knowledge here ,along with wise guys, smart a$$es, and dumb a$$es.
  14. Drop the mouse and come out swinging . lol
  15. Drop the mouse and come out smoking your 'Shee !! lol

  17. What are you asking for the blue roller, I'm local to you
  18. As far as jetting, unless someone chimes in, search the jetting forum. As far as the hubs, might have been collecting parts for yfz arms, etc on the front. Considering some "Shees are 20 yrs old they're bound to need "some" work, LOL, good score!!
  19. Speed is only limited by cubic dollars
  20. Gap rings, make sure pin clips are in and drink beer AFTER you're done. Also clean cyl good after bore/hone.
  21. Well had to join a chevy truck forum. 1998 on there is a problem of the oil pump wearing a hole in the back case half. New rear case half 299, seals, gasket, case saver 77, maybe chain 199. FYI, NP 246 and NP 263HD cases. But be sure I do appreciate everyones interest in this problem. End of story!!
  22. ^X-2^, their season is opposite of here in the "Mitten"
  23. No pics, can't hardly see it because of crossmember for front torsion bars. Case is made of magnesium (sp). Cleaned it with stripper wheel then roughed up with coarse emery cloth. cleaned with brake cleaner then acetone, fluid was drained. Applyied two coats of JB Quick weld. Let set for couple hours. covered area about 3x3 inches. Drove about a mile, when I stopped there was fluid on groun didn't even have to look at it. It's almost like the JB didn't stick to the mag. It's the boss's truck, I'm mainteance on a horse farm.
