  1. Your screen name says it all. ANY time I ride a quad or bike I feel young , if it's a long one I feel sore the next day but it's all good.
  2. X-2 on checking shaft for a groove in it. Unless you're burning alchohol, don't mix it with Banshee's.
  3. How much ??
  4. A mechanic is a mechanic , he specializes in Sukis. Go back through everything parts wise ,adjustment wise. Follow the manual to the letter. Were the tabs on plates clocked 90* from preveous? Pressure plate installed per manual , line up arrows or something ,don't remember exactly right now.
  5. Welcome to BHQ !! Are you saying the tube is to short? Choke tube is 3" hose that connects both carbs by choke knob . So did you check for spark ? Like stated could have seriously flooded it during ride home, so you could have spark but still have wet plugs.
  6. Welcome to BHQ !! Let me think ,bbl.
  7. Maybe someone younger than me can translate into English for me .
  8. Look over the rubber boots that hold carbs to engine for cracks, especially at cross over tube ( or boost bottle ). If there's no cracks check by spraying carb clean or brake clean on gasket area and boots, if engine speeds up or slows down you have found your leak.
  9. +4 crank, pistons ,rings, pin, pin bearing. pin circlips ,fresh bore, crankseals ( might do all seals) , stroker domes for coolhead or rechambered stock head , complete gasket set unless you go cool head, Yamabond for cases, flywheel puller. I'm sure I forgot something ,it's late .
  10. First off , welcome to BHQ !! Are carbs clean? Assembled correctly ? Float level correct? Might check fuel petcock for good flow.
  11. http://www.bansheehq.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid=35 Empty your wallet and charge the rest !! Seriously tho, it's all the site sponsers, see what all they offer. Also , what do you currently have on it ? Pipes , carbs, other bolt ons. Biggest facor is how much you want (or can) spend and how far do you want to go !!
  12. You might want to start with a good cleaning. Probably residue from the fuel evaporating leaving gunky oil and varnish. Might get away with just float valve and seat. Check with the site sponsers , they probably have them.
  13. Rather perpexing post. If your guy "Knows all the tricks" , why are you asking here? All good sugestions so far.
  14. If I'm reading this right , this problem started after your problem with the dust/dirt/air cleaner problem ? My guess is that you now have a major air leak going on. Recheck carbs, etc. ,maybe spray carb cleaner with it ideling. I wouldn't ride it until you have this figured out ,JMHO your results may vary.
  15. Don't know a lot about dynos , only did one run with a drag cycle. Was it set up for quads/cycles ? Seems I saw something about that before. Even the curve didn't look right. As asked before how did the but dyno feel? Might consider another dyno ,JMHO.
  16. A little embareassment also helps others to check the obvious first. Glad you got it figured out . Might want to do air filters up right !!
  17. Make sure tester is same length as spark plug or you will have faulty reading. Also try a different tester , just to be sure. Plus when you test, gas and ign. off, throttle wide open, both plugs out , kick until gagestops moving. As for your problem , switch plug wires see if problem follows. Check pick-up coil gap. Because it stops fireing when you turn choke off leads me to think that it is still a carb problem. check sync, check for air leak. Post back with what you find, or don't find , lol .
  18. Which screws areyou adjusting? There are idle air screws and throttle stop screws.
  19. Out in left field , pull flywheel and see if key is sheard.
  20. Getting them off is easy. Getting them back on , now that is the question. Makes me want to go back to drinking. JK. Had them off for blast and paint.
  21. Reed valves , rotary valve , piston port have nothing to do with it. Nothing is compressed until exhaust port is covered.
  22. Welcome to BHQ !! I have NFC for your question , lol .
  23. On stator side at five o'clock next to flywheel is pick-up coil (about 1 in square). There are two nubs on wheel 180* apart that stick about 1/8 inch. Gap between those and pick-up coil is .017 or thickness of business card or match book. Two screws hold it and are used to adjust it.
  24. Either get a tube notcher or at least use a good hole saw to cut the fish mouth on tubes , or use a grinder. Take your time , measure TWICE , cut once. There was a thread on here of someone who did this. Good luck, keeep us posted.
