Nice Job !! Looks bad ass with those wide ass front tires !! Courious abot upper A-arms. Why the three piece design , bolted together. is that to increase adjustability?
Tester must have same length threads as spark plug. Fuel off , WOT, kick till guage stops moving . Warm engine will give higher reading. If still in doubt ,try another (better) tester.
SLOMO , you might want to contact your "Good Buddy" at RB and have him change his dyno chart . WTF ???????????? 6.11 HP at 15MPH ?????????? I'd want that much out of a weed wacker !!!!!!!!!!! For a good laugh click the link if you don't belive me .
If a widening kit helps it will be minimal. All they allow you to do is put longer , better shocks. Save your $$$$ for longer arms and shocks. JMHO, your results may vary. BTW , Welcome to BHQ !!
IIRC , The test procedure in the manual is incorrect. On the secondary side test the two plug wires with each other. Also coil failure is rather rare. I don't have enough knowledge to help you on the stator , but I would double check my test procedure just in case I did it wrong ( incorrect leads). Also check for broken wire in that area. In the mean time someone else may chime in . Post your results .
And if you don't have the cash just fix whats broke. Then do other stuff later. Not everyone if setting good right now. Not that hard to pull clutch cover off.
Welcome to BHQ !! Firsy off get yourself a Clymers repair manual , invaluable for working on it. If I'm understand ing you , I don't think you can push it with just pulling the clutch in. I'd have to read the manual to tell you how to adjust the pusher. Some one will chime in. Might want to pull presure plate off and inspect the hub where the missing screw is, hub might be broke. Don't know if riding without all six springs would be a good idea. Clean your carbs one at a time to avoid getting slides and bowls mixed up , they're different.
Check for air leaks on that side. My son's shee acted like that when he bought it , ended up cleaning inside of flywheel , poles on stator , lugs for pick-up coil ,and setting gap. BTW, when did that forum start , like yesturday?
Welcome to BHQ !! First check that choke tube between carbs is on. Hopefully you cleaned carbs one at a time as slides and float bowls can get on wrong carbs. Check to SEE that you actually have a good spark.
Adjustability and bling puts cool heads in the lead . I can get my head cut for free so that doesn't figure into the equation. For someone that is going with minimal bolt ons and minimal wallet , milled stock wins hands down. For someone that is always changing set up , cool head is way to go. BTW I saw most of the debate in shout last night.
Just weld that beech on. Actually might be able to shave a little off the flats if theyre touching when tightened. I did it before , not on a 'shee. JMHO , Your results may vary.
Welcome to BHQ !! The shop refering to it as a "spinner" clutch concerns me. Please post after you get it back from the shop to let us know what they did and how much they charged you. Thanks!!
