  1. I would suggest searching out a Warrior forum. I'm interested in this also,if it can be done cheaper than aftermarket arms, etc. I just googled and saw at least half dozen forums, looked at six pages on one , didn't see mention of it.
  2. My son (Larry) is lucky , he has a bud that works at a Yammy dealer , gitten discount on both factory and aftermarket parts.
  3. Info is info, an informed buyer is a smart buyer
  4. Sweet deal. what's the 411 on those J-arms?
  5. Welcome to BHQ !! X-2 on what AK said . Think of it as a doctors stethiscope. Press it to ear right by opening to hear noise. Tons of help and info on this site. Might also want to pick up a Clymers manual for it, step by step how to for banshee.
  6. Call the White House , Obamanomics is finally working. A new job has been created. Now if I could find a real job I could get stuff from you even faster !!
  7. Now I see , residue is in the throat. Not a big deal, just clean it up, I presumed it was on outside (ie leak). Clear lines are for vents and overflow , change them if you want to spruce it up a little , not criticle. Without you or us knowing your setup , it might need those carbs. What kind of pipes do you have? Clean the carbs out , not just throat. See how it runs , if it's not to your liking THEN start changing things.
  8. Welcome to BHQ !! The amber residue is evaporated fuel, carb might have been leaking. X-2 on vent lines. Might want to clean carbs on at a time to avoid mixxing parts. Change trans oil, get new plugs. I would do this before changing a bunch of shit. Having as much info about your set up will help in helping you. Also get a Clymers manual.
  9. That porting reminds me of one of my Acid Trips , hey I survived the 70s
  10. There will not be sharp edge at port , kinda like rounded off, best way I can think to describe it .
  11. Check site sponsers first, I know Alf has/had same price as E-gay.
  12. Maybe PM dirtydownunder (screen name ) he's in Aus , maybe he can hook you up or tell you where best place to get parts. Glad you're ok !!
  13. Seen a link on another forum the other day that showed all state trails, don't recall any by Saginaw. It was DNR /state web site. Only other I know of is northeast of Flint. Otherwise St. Helen/ Rose City.
  14. Make sure the shop champhered (beveled) the ports so rings don't snag. Polishing exhaust will help keep carbon from building up. Intake only needs to be smooth, mirror polish does nothing. Don't shave head more than .030 ,squish will be to tight. No knowledge on polishing domes. Make sure you gap rings.
  15. I'll have to pm you with my guess as to your "secret" mod. lol
  16. To bad A C green doesn't go good with your other colors, lol . Paint or pc I guess. I'm in the process of looking for some myself as one shock was discovered to be bent at lower eye. Are your's the exact same as Matts ?
  17. Glad to see you got the issue resolved. I must apoligize for busting your chops in your origonal post. When I realized that you were talking about 12mm difference in bolt pattern, I realized how easy it would be to overlook the difference.
  18. Nice looking . I have had good results with Castrol Super Clean. Might want to clean carbs first.
  19. I would at least pull the cover and see if it's wet. If you have puller pull flywheel and check for water/rust. Blow dry and clean, also check pick-up coil gap.
  20. With the number off the top someone smarter than me will be able to identify them for you. That's how I was able to determine I had Wiesco Blaster style 1st overbore.
  21. Someone will want to know your elevation. Are your air cleaners clean?
  22. ROTFLMFAO !!! My son got a set of FMF Gold that were about that "NICE" , but he only paid about $30-35. Reason I say about cause he got pipes , DG bumper, rear fender, foot pegs, and big tank for $125. Yeah the stuff isn't perfect but price was right. Pipes are still better than stock. Alittle bit of elbow grease and a can of VHT, and they look pretty darn good. Seems a bit overpriced, ok A LOT LOL.
  23. Need to clean it better, use some carb or brake clean and a scotch brite pad. Dont be to aggressive you'll wipe out numbers.
