  1. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135591 I would dissasemble it, add kit, then comepletely clean.
  2. Sounds like something is lose or intermittant fault (bad connection) or intermittant short (to ground).
  3. No. You are only removing unnecessary junk. Re-jet only needed if you do anything to change air flow.
  4. These are only thoughts, not trying to be a smart ass. Float level good? Float needle not leaking? What size pilot? Is there a pilot in carbs? Brass washer and slosh baffel on main jet? Is the main jet emulsion tube in carbs? (Think that's correct name, brass tube from jet to throat/bore) Reed valves good?
  5. go to sponser forum, clic on his site. best I can say.
  6. Kind of hard to follow what you are saying. Enjoying it till you what? Where did you clean sand from? OK, so you moved from "sea level city" , doesn't tell us where you're riding now? It didn't vibrate after you cleaned the sand but it did the next day? BTW, welcome to BHQ !!
  7. Maybe try adjusting the idle up a hair with the cables then adj air screw. Might be slowing it down to the point of stall and you're just hearing each little noise seperatly. Think these are noisy, try an air cooled without rubbers between fins. Sound like a countdown to self destruct on 3.
  8. Damn things are so noisy it's hard to tell. From what I've learned on here IF the kicker idle gear goes it can be big problem. Check it out for peace of mind? Weird the noise would stop with turn of air screw .
  9. 1.5 = 1 1/2. Lightly seat screw then turn out one and one half turns.
  10. Maybe turned it lean to the point it was detonation? Just a thought. If it was bad seems it would make noise no matter how it was tuned.
  11. Check the idler gear, bushing may be worn.
  12. My son's had simular problem. I cleaned rust off stator poles, lugs on outside of flywheel, cleaned inside of flywheel. Set pick-up coil gap. Be sure to use proper puller on flywheel.
  13. If they are stock carbs, did you put the slides in the correct carb? They can go in backwards and be synced. The angled cutaway faces air box.
  14. Check with FAST for the valve. Unless the float got stepped on not much can go wrong. Either Yamaha, FAST, or carb parts warehouse for float.
  15. http://www.socalsuspensionsystems.com/ It's shocking how good he is. Site sponser also.
  16. What kind of oil did you put in it?
  17. Are you blowing the tires off on launch? Try 2nd gear launch. Is he always ahead or passing at end. Try 14t front. Might need new rear tires. Try racing on different surface if you think it might be advantage for you. Keep in mind how much he has spent compared to you.
  18. x-2 ON DOUBLE CHECK, FLOAT HEIGHT, smoke equal both pipes? Accedentially mix fuel wrong? Has it set for long time? Fresh fuel?
  19. Wouldn't neccessarily trust what he said. Look to see what jets you have in now, write it down for reference. How do your plugs look after your little ride?
  20. X-2 on ddu's recomendation. Those pipes will be signing off about the time the cyls start to come on. BTW, those are not tripple port, only has one exhaust. Let us know how they work, and how long it stays together.
  21. Welcome Those cases are a work of art !! If it's not a trade secret , how many hours does it take to machine a set of cases from a bare chunk?
  22. Great marketing, nice new, clean pipe on a dirty bike What the hell kind of racing do you do with tractor tires on the back of a Banshee?
  23. Autozone has them on loaner program.
  24. Post up what was wrong with carbs so we all can learn.
