  1. If you're talking hole for shift rail, the plug is one time use. Get a new one, clean area, use yamma bond or three bond. JMHO, your results may vary.
  2. I'm an hour and a half late, sorry. Oh wait, I didn't miss anything yet, dang. http://www.lapeerdragway.com/racerweb/index.htm See "Burning Billie" I can answer some questions. My friend and I built this, and it took more than a week
  3. Porting, different pipes, bigger carbs
  4. 2010 hit what I was thinking. Plus it would take big bore sleeves to make a 400 on bore alone. Probably an ass clown that thinks 350cc + .050 overbore = 400 . Also there is no such thing as high compression pistons for a Banshee, it is determined by milling head or changing domes. It's cheaper for a reason .
  5. You have 9 1/2 hours left. Progress report/pics due by 12:00, local time!!
  6. clutch spring bolts 10n-m, 7.4 ft-lb clutch nut 90 n-m, 66 ft-lb clymers.
  7. The clue is the color of the plugs. Only new plugs should be white. Either way lean jetting or major air leaks. JMHO, your results may vary.
  8. If you still have old coil and its good, throw it back on and see if you have spark. As to plugs I was asking what color the old plugs you took out were.
  9. What did the plugs look like?
  10. Thank you for serving our country!! Welcome to BHQ !! Clean carbs one at a time, clean out fuel tank and petcock, change trans oil, new plugs grease, lube everything, ride !!
  11. I ran front wire to left just so they didn't have to cross/ maybe rub. Doesn't matter which cyl they go to.
  12. I would seriously consider doing a leakdown test. I'll bet you're leaking around the bolts on intake!! Lucky you have only burned plugs. As for the shock from petcock, could be static electricity, plastic rubbing, combo of pants you wear and seat?
  13. 1. Eliminates brain box that often malfunctions for no reason. 2. Eliminates brick on top of carb, cleaning up looks, easier to change jets. 3. Makes setting idle speed easier. 4. Throttle cable hooks directly to carb slide. Increasing bore that slight amount will not affect jetting needs. However if you need to bore only bore enough to clean it up.
  14. Make sure adapter for tester is same length as spark plug, if it is shorter it will throw results off a little. Maybe also try different gauge just to double check. Cheaper gauges sometimes are inaccurate.
  15. WTF? You have two identical threads with different titles posted four minutes apart. FAIL !!!
  16. Still waiting for imput. Have you done any work on it and now does it? What have you checked or done? Have you tried new plugs? You asked one question, I've asked three. I'm tired, to much work to answer. Been twelve hours.
  17. Don't see why it wouldn't work, still have to get some kind of adapter for crossover holes. I would use colored water rather than oil. Thinner viscosity would react to changes eisier. JMHO, your results may vary .
  18. Don't know where you "trail" ride, but here in Michigan they are apt to be muddy any time of year.
  19. Well the 70yr old has me beat by about a dozen years. The Banshee is actually my son Larry's, I just fix it . But when I have to test it I still feel like I'm 20 again. Only problem is keeping in mind that I won't heal quite as fast As for the Elsinore I still have it. Haven't rode it in a few years but actually thought about bustin it out the other day. Gonna have to clean the carb.
  20. How about I just say I bought an introductory model 250 Elsinore new? Messing with two strokes since before they had reed valves.
  21. Check wires at cdi box in back, might have bumped something loose.
  22. what color is smoke? Is it equal out both? which side most? set float level? did float needle get back into same carb?
