  1. Get some 310s and 27.5 pilots.
  2. Check your reeds, check that boots aren't leaking.
  3. As to jetting, no. If you can only go .030, more rebuilds left that way.
  4. Factory owners manual (1987) recomends 24:1, my son and I run 28:1 in both Banshee and Blaster. Reguardless you have to jet for all your variables. Prop the front end up and check all wear points especiallly ball joints. Then do the same checking swinger and carrier bearings. Look at brake pads, sprocket, chain. Lube all your cables. I would drain fuel tank, clean it, petcock, carbs. If you have stock carbs clean them one at a time as parts are different. Be sure to install choke crossover tube. Clean air filter. When you have carbs apart, record your jetting for reference. Post them up, someone will tell you if your close. X2 on what Jereme recomended.
  5. A penny or rag between gear teeth.

  7. The choke crossover tube is about 3in long, is on oppisite side and directly accross from choke knob and goes straight accross to right carb.
  8. As easy as it starts you're far from needing a rebuild. When it gets below about 120 or more than 5lbs difference between cyls.
  9. What do you expect? Exhaust gasses exit at about 1200F if jetted correct, 1400F or more if lean (or if too much timing) I highly suggest doing a lot more reading on here to understand what's going on with your machine in general. Follow threads dealing with jetting, also use the search function. Read threads where O P has a simular set-up to yours.
  10. I don't have an extra set to look at right now. But I think the tube you talk of is only on left carb for the choke pick up, there is a tube that connects both carbs to provide enrichening fuel to right carb. When the sun comes up I'll see if I can find more out.
  11. Klotz bean 28:1
  12. Duel carbs FTW. Plus 4* timing 421 Serval.
  13. Did you pull cable before adjusting?
  14. WeedWacker Pro 200:1, available at all Tractor supply. Adds at least 5hp. Or we can beat this dead horse all to fuck, because no one likes the search, it's almost like work
  15. never hurts to lube a new cable either
  16. Have you looked in carb to see if slide is closed? No sand in throat? I would start by comepletely cleaning carb and inspect intake. Is it a two piece manafold with O-rings?
  17. This isn't something the average Banshee addict messes with.
  18. Pull the stator (left) cover and see if you can spin the flywheel by hand. X-2 on Clymers. Were you mixing gas and oil for it? Might think of doing a leak-down test before you rip it apart. Between BHQ and a Clymers you'll be good.
  19. Get or make a leak down tester, I'll bet it's either carb boots or intake gaskets. Got a boost bottle?
  20. While you're at it add a zerk to the carrier, pull the seal off inner side of bearing. Keep her full of grease to keep that nasty Yooper mud out.
  21. Best bang for the buck is pipes. Have you checked your plugs since your changes?
  22. Are you ported? Ex timing affects test also
  23. Pull the cap and clean the slide and bore looking for any grit. Pull air cleaner to see if grit in throat. X2 lube cable.
  24. Post #3 will be "why is there a hole in my piston"
