  1. Take notice if the rings are stuck to pistons when you pull jugs. If they are could maybe free them up by spraying them with brake clean.
  2. Try using search function in the suspension section, or even manually search (look) for YFZ threads. It's about 50-50 on it , love/hate. I recall there was a member who was making them, don't recall who or if he's still active.
  3. What kind of oil, and what ratio? Could also be jetted a hair rich
  4. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Run premium , be good to go. You need 15 posts before you can use shout, but not to use search function.
  5. I think it's groovy that you mention us dudes (like me) that were born when dirt was still new and two strokes didn't have reed valves . When you have done as many 12oz curls, consumed my fair share of street medicinals, and various types of naturally occuring substances , as I have, you tend to freak out. Wondering if you're having a flashback, get bummed out with all this jive ass shit. Hard enough trying to figure out accronims, cdi etc. It doesn't take a rocket mechanic to get on here and see that standard English is used. Even the young guys on Blaster Forum don't use txt lingo. You dig what I'm laying down? There have been posts that I either can't understand or don't bother with because I have no clue what is asked. From the generation that brought you smiley faces, and the next generation that brought banshees B C N U L8TR
  6. Do a compression test, your topend might be getting tired
  7. Good chance it could. You could clean all connections , make sure coil has bare clean metal for ground. Using a Banshee flywheel puller ONLY , remove flywheel and clean any rust off magnets and stator, clean 2 timing lugs on outside, set pick-up coil gap.
  8. All I did was take the boot to hardware and found a pvc cap that fit in the hole, 3bond + hose clamp , done. When I get new boots I'll get the ones without nipples.
  9. Welcome to BHQ !! Check the for sale forum, and hit up member NYUK, I know he has a bunch of cranks right now.

  11. It doesn't take much coolant to make a milkshake out of the oil. Unless it was like 50/50 oil/water, drove it for a long time, or have a high out put motor for a shorter time, it should be fine. Besides fixing the coolant leak you also need to find tranny leak before/as you tear it down.
  12. or O-ring on tube that goes into back of waterpump
  13. Gas and ignition off. Easier with both plugs out. If owner is hesitant to allow comp test walk away unless it's a smoking deal. Be leary if it's warm to touch when you get there, might be signs that it's hard to start cold, for various reasons. BTW, welcome to BHQ !!

  15. And thin skin. Only things not allowed on this forum is blantent racism, downing mental or physically challenged (PC), thieves, cheaters, and blatent slander. All Bull Shitters will be chalenged. If you come on like the original poster your going to get flamed . This is a balls to the walls, thick skinned, hair on your ass and balls , English based forum. Don't like it, GTFO.
  16. I blame shitty gas. My son's if it sat more than a week it needed a shot of starting fluid. After that when cold it would start 2 kicks cold. No issues starting other than if it sat for a long period. JMHO, your results may, and will vary. After you have it fired up, does it start easy when cold that same day?
  17. possible faulty bearing or installation
  18. Fabrication engineering, D I Y.
  19. Welcome to BHQ !! Fresh fuel mix? Air filter clean? New plugs (or what do they look like?) Clean carbs and set float level. Look to see if you have adj timing plate, if so make sure it's advanced not retarded.
  20. Another satisfied costomer
  21. Is this a new to you ride or new set-up? Unless you're high elevation you are probably lean. Read/ search the sticky at the top of this forum "What jets are you running", find as near a simular set-up/elevation. My guess is that you need to be in the 280-290 range. JMHO, your results may, and will vary.
  22. If you have or can get everything to go back to two carbs I'd do so. Two strokes are sensitive to excessively long intake tracks such as the one you have. It will work good enough till you can get it set up better. Jetting isn't that big of a deal, especially with the help you will get here.
  23. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=search&fromMainBar=1 Try here Didn't work, search the sticky at top of forum : What jets are you using, 2 answers in there.
  24. Hard starting could be dirty carb, bad reeds, low compression. The over-rev could be dirty carb, more likely air leak. Highly suggest doing leak-down test. Compression test wouldn't hurt.
