A "Yooper" is term used to describe anybody that lives in the upper peninsula of Michigan ie UPBanshee. It is in no way derogitory (to my knowledge) . Even CL lists all of U.P. as Yooper CL
FUCK , even Rattle Can Ray doesn't get that much for them. (Minkia38 on E-Gay). Hang on to them, 50 yrs from now they will be worth a lot to someone restoring a Banshee to original. I have a set you can have, just pay shipping.
Got a set of 22-11-9 my son swaps back and forth between his Banshee and Blasturd. Only thing I don't like about them is they don't like to slide, at least on the blaster, never rode them much on Banshee. Good forward traction in sand and rocks in N. Mich.
My internet humor is off sometimes, not that I don't believe, it's just that EVERYONE loves pics of carnage Actually want to know/see what happened. Was it near the kicker area?
Builder has the answer on the zerk. As to removeal, maybe can get at it with hack saw? Even with zerk, I would coat bolt with anti-zeize where it goes thru sleeve.
That Uship sounds pretty good. Did you include shipping in sale price? Also, how are you ensuring your payment? Hate to see you pay shipping AND get fucked out of your 'shee.
Also look into hot-shot trucking, that's where guys with smaller trucks haul smaller loads. In reality $800 don't seem to bad, Grey Dog gets about $100 for just a frame.
Would think it would have to be the white kind, not gel. I did it to a carb and was amazed at crap that was on Q, and seat looked new. Imagine Mothers mag, simichrome, or brasso would work too, anything to clean and polish it.
Check that cap gasket on lean side is good. Check that both emulsion tubes and needles are same. Main jet washer and slosh baffels in? Float height same? Can get extra long hose for crossover and swap carbs side to side. Closely inspect float valve and seat on rich side, maybe leaking bit.
What kind of gas you using? Oil and ratio? Plug? What is your timing at? What do your plugs look like after your ride? Have you done a leak down test? Next time level is low look good in radiator to see if there is gunk in the cores inside rad. Check hoses that they don't feel squishy soft. Lower hose on overflow bottle goes to rad, upper one is overflow.
Is the adapter on comp gauge same length as spark plug threads? Did you buy new or used? Are you sure you don't have big bore domes on small bore? Did you check squish?
My son's does same thing. It can sit for an hour, day or two (with fuel off) and it will start just fine. At about one week it takes a snort of starting fluid to fire off. My thought is that fuel is refined for closed systems on road vehicles and the "high end volitles" evaporate out of the fuel in the bowls, then it's not good enough to fire off.
A friend had a quad that wouldn't fire off with 3 month old fuel. Fresh gas good to go.
