  1. A banshee is like any other motor powered vehicle. If you start out with a sound machine and take care of it it will take care of you, on the other hand if you purchase some piece of shit that has bandaids all over the place you'll be wrenching more then riding. If you buy the 400 you'll be regretting it the first time you pull up beside a shee wanting to race.
  2. You will definitely have to rejet. Thats all I can tell you my religious beliefs wont allow me to discuss anything 4poke sorry but it is sunday. Asking that here is like going to a jew and asking him about Jesus. Just kidding dude.
  3. 400 is way to high. In my opinion you should start at like 340 and do a proper plug chop. When jetting you always should start out rich and lean it down. Dont just go by how good it runs because a banshee with a lean condition will run its balls off until it melts down.
  4. If its bent your fucked dude time for a new one. If you look in the for sale section you can probably pick one up, But whatever you do dont buy a Ricky Stator flywheel they are fucking junk.
  5. The basic differences between port jobs is when the power comes on. A woods port is a low to mid powerband, a dune port is more a mid to top port and a drag port is all up top. Give Jeff @ FAST a call and He'll hook you up.
  6. Well this is a shame one more bad ass banshee biting the dust. Wish I had the cash oh well free bump for a bad ass rid. If you was to part it what are looking to get for the motor?
  7. If your not really changing anything you wont have to rejet, But you might want to do a plug chop as soon as you get it running to make sure thats not why it blew up to begin with. Before you put it back together pull the bowls off the carbs and check to see whats in there now.And welcome to the HQ
  8. For sure it will be a little more snappie. Alf has the plates pretty cheap
  9. That was fucking great what a fucking moron
  10. Haha But he figured it out, aint that what counts?
  11. Good deal Bro keep us posted
  12. Good chance thats it. Did you unhook it and try to run it?
  13. Try Blumagic it can be bought at most auto parts stores and elbow grease as said before.
  14. What size jets is a hard question there is no one that can tell you exactly. You are going to have to change them and do a proper plug chop. But remember its always best to start out rich and lean it out to what you need. I f you do a search on plug chop you'll find out exactly what you need to do. You cant tell a whole lot by just pulling a plug and looking with out doing a proper plug chop. You should start with about a 240 to 250 and go from there. I hope that you like the T6s because I havent read too many good reviews on them. The T5 is a far better pipe, but its all what kinda riding your trying to do. If your into trails and woods I would of went with Pro Circuits instead of T6s and if your more into drag racing I would of went with the T5s IMO.
  15. I would probably start with a 250 and check it out its always better to start out too rich then too lean. And as far as the 25 pilot that would be fine until you get some pipes and then you would need a 27.5. As soon as you can afford to you need to get rid of the TORS that shit can be more problems then they're worth.
  16. For low to mid with a decent top go with Pro Circuits for sure.
  17. Couldnt of said it better myself. I dont understand why some of these guys ask for an opinion and then they argue with you over it. Dude the Banshee gods are talking and you just aint listening. Give Jeff @ FAST a call and he'll school ya. Split a stock pipe down the middle and you'll see why everybody is telling what they are telling you.
  18. Do you still have the tors unit still hooked up?These are the things on top of the carbs.
  19. Does it pop out when letting off the gas or when on the gas. The vent hose is a must and should be routed as directed by AK.
  20. Dude I dont know whos bike your running down, But if your running down piped and ported banshees that aint saying to much for the person that did the porting or maybe the rider, Because you aint even gonna come close to my FAST ported shee with your mods. If you want a fast bike you will have to end up porting it or your just wasting time IMHO. Give Jeff @ FAST a call it will be the best $350 that you'll spend on your shee for sure.
  21. You definitely need a 27.5 pilot for any aftermarket pipes do not leave them stock and as far as mains 300 is probably a good place to start then do a plug chop. And just to let you know a shee will run really good on a lean condition until it finally melts down.Oh and welcome to the HQ:cheers:
  22. First off welcome to the HQ and as far as tires I run the Holeshot HDs and I love them if you do a lot of trail riding they're great. they are also 6 ply so you dont really get to many flats
  23. I also think this had something to do with the approach also. I only say this because I also broke a large motor mount bolt and when I called she said no problem she sent them out free of charge and she even threw in the yfz450 caliper bolts I needed for free. Who knows maybe she didnt get laid that morning or something.
  24. Welcome to the HQ and get ready to open up that wallet.
