  1. LOL if it were me i would post what jets you are running and what your elevation is and then have the guys here help you tune it. Thats just me but i would not take my daughters moped to Trinity to have it tuned lol. I have seen lots of bikes they have tuned and it was very less than impressed.
  2. The acrried bearing is pressed on the drive line. If you take the drive line out and take it to any shop they should be able to press the old one off and the new one back on for you pretty cheap. I know it takes my guys about 30 mins to press them off and on here in my shop.
  3. All you need to do is cut the back of you air box off and do a nice job doing it then put the 2 bolts back in that held the back of the air box and that will hold you overflow bottle right were it is suppost to be.
  4. Leave them out you do not need them in there. The only real problem you will run into most of the time if you take them out is if the bike sits for a long time and you get on it the clutch will some times be stuck togehter from sitting but it will free up real quick.
  5. Do not use a heli coil. Go to your local parts store and take your drain plug with you and tell them you want a one size over drain plug. They make them in the size for your shee and they are self tapping. It will make a new set of threads about a half size bigger than the ones there now and it will work perfect. I have used them on cars and several different quads.
  6. I am running almost the same setup you are. I have a 4 mill stock bore and i am running 21x12x8 paddles wich stand the same height as a 22 and i have no trouble starting a drag race in second gear at all. I am running a 13 41 sprocket setup. If it is bogging of the line in second you may be just a touch fat on the bottom. O and i weigh 230 lol and getting heavier all the time.
  7. My buddy has been running a hydualic one for years and has never had any trouble with it and he loves it.
  8. Yes you can use the old ones over as long as they are in good shape. Make sure there is no bad spots in them and they are still good and soft and they will work fine. Be careful putting them in that you dont pinch one. That Trinity head is a little harder to put the o-rings in than a cool head is.
  9. Just the o-rings no gasket.
  10. LOL wow i guess i better get a billet clutch basket also because mine is stiff as hell. If someone put stiffer springs in your clutch then it is going to be hard to pull but if you pull them out and put the stock ones back in it and you have a little extra power you stand a chance of burning your clutch up and you dont want to do that. Try lubing the cable or just pull it off and see how well it moves. If it moves good then you have stiffer springs in it and an easy pull lever or a hydualic clutch is your cure.
  11. We are going to be at Sand Lake this Saturday. If any fellow HQ riders are going to be there let me know we can do some tree shots and have some fun riding together. Hopefully we will get some good pics to share.
  12. I would agree with Loco on this one. Most people that have ridden 4 pokes all there life jump on a banshee and think they are a dog till they hit the power band. It is a whole different riding style on a 2 stroke. Like loco said with the right porting and jetting and exhaust you can get a lot of that bottom back and a smoth transition into the power band. As far as your throttle being really stiff if they put bigger carbs on the bike they tend to have stiffer springs you can go in and cut one and a half or two coils off of the carb spring and it will help a little.
  13. He is right blue is what you want
  14. So i need a little help from you guys that have been to Glamis before. Were is the best pace to camp when we are there and do i need to call ahead for reservations. We are trying to finalize the last of our plans and camping is the last thing we have left. Also if any other HQ members are going to be in Glamis around the March 11th through 16th time let me know we can hook up for a ride while we are there. We only have one guy in our group that has been to Glamis before so any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks guys.
  15. I would talk to your guy that did your port work. Depending on how your port work was done bigger carbs may not improve on your bike at all. I know i will get lots of people disagreeing with me here but i have seen this on a dyno. The way my 4 mill is ported bigger carbs show no preformance increase at all on the dyno and actually have a little slower throttle response. Check with your port guy and see what he has tested and he will tell you what is the best size carb for your bike. If you just want carbs for the easy jetting then i understand that but dont throw money away if you dont need it.
  16. I would really agree with loco on this one. I have never done one and had never even heard of one till i starting going to this site. You should be able to read your plugs without chopping up a set. Just a waste of 5.00 and a good way to burn your fingers lol.
  17. No worries man just let me know when you want one i usually have 3 or 4 around.
  18. I can get one done up for you if you like. 25.00 shipped to you. Send me a P.M. if you would like one.
  19. O that is not good at all 60 pounds is way low.
  20. If you have low compression towing it to start it will work because it gets the pistons moving fast enough to get it to fire up. When you say you have no spark but it will start if you tow it dont sound right. Have you pulled the plugs and kicked it over to see if they are firing?
  21. Right on man glad that worked for you. LOL well i do about 6,000 to 8,000 a month with the napa store here in Portland so they try pretty hard to find what we need for us.
  22. Ok magz here is the deal. I called napa and they oreded those bearings for me from Mcquire bearing and that is a good number through a bearing house thats why napa could not find it for you. So if you can go to any bearing house or have napa call a bearing house for you it will work. I also ask him how much they were and my cost on them after he buys them from the bearing house was 9.99 each so they are cheap.
  23. I will call napa right now and figure out what the problem is just give me a few.
  24. Ok here you go magz. The pivot bearing number is hk2220 that should be a good number at napa. I believe that bearing brand is ina but i dont remember for sure but that should work for you.
  25. I normally go up 2 jets sizes on my mains when we are riding the dunes here in Oregon in the winter
