  1. LOL i do acutally strech stock swingers for guys. It is not fancy but they look good and a hell of a lot cheaper than some of the other ones.
  2. They still make new banshee's you just cant buy them in the us
  3. One more vote for not modding them. I was going to have my pistons done when i did my 4 mill and they told me not to do it. They said it was not worth doing it and most people that do have the skirts break on the pistons.
  4. Holy crap i have never heard of some one running a 460 main jet.
  5. Hell how about i give you three of my bikes and take your debt lol. :yelrotflmao: :shoothead:
  6. I normally put a little lock tite on it thenhit it with my impact gun and lock the washer down.
  7. Sounds like to me what happen was you didnt have your regulator grounded so when you started it and reved it up you had a volage spike and it blew your headlights out. If you have it bolted to a good metal source you should be fine now.
  8. LOL i have got to agree i think i would go with afflack!
  9. It is cool to see the changes. Some of those years you have got to wonder what they were thinking.
  10. I want to know how to get that kind of power out of mine at 4500 rpm's? If i get a boost bottle and put my thor's back on will that do it? :woot:
  11. Your jets will have the numbers written on the bottom of them. When you pull the bowl off the bottom of the carbs you will be able to see the numbers on the jets.
  12. I think it really depends on were you are buying your bike at. My 04 i bought new and it had 190 main jets in it.
  13. You will not really know what it will cost you till you get it apart and have someone look at the cylinders. You need to have the cylinders checked to see if they need bored or not. You dont want to put new rings in a cylinder that is worn out. Get you jugs off and get them to a good shop and they will tell you were to go from there.
  14. A punch and a hammer usually work well to take the bearings out. To put the grease zerk in you need to take the inside seal out of the new bearings when you put them in the carrier also you need to drill a hole some were in the middle of the carrier it is up to you were you want it then tap the hole for a grease zerk and just screw one in it.
  15. Is there any gas running out of your carbs when you turn the gas on? Sounds like you got something back together in your carbs wrong.
  16. So did anyone ever catch up with this clown?
  17. I think he messed his post up a bit. I think what he is trying to say is the LTR 450 said he would have won if he would have had paddles on. Sound like to me the banshee was running paddles and the other bikes were not running them.
  18. You need to get the head and the cylinders pulled off the motor so you can have a machine shop look at them and see what kind of shape they are in. Once you get the top end off you will be able to check the play on your rods and have an idea of what kind of shape you crank is in. You should be able to just bore it put a good set of pistons in it and put it back together. You will need to have a shop look at your cylinders before you order pistons because you will not be sure of what bore to get till they tell you how much it will need to be bored.
  19. LOL readin the post i was having a hard time telling if it has not spark at an idle or if just runs like it is not firing at idle?
  20. If you just leave the ears on you can fly just like dumbo.
  21. JB weld will work just fine. What happens to most people that try and use JB weld is they dont prep the area well enough before they apply it. If you sand the area you are going to apply it too them clean it well with carb cleaner or ether it will hold just like you welded it.
  22. My brother inlaw just had the same problem with his banshee and his carbs were out of sync. We re adjusted them and it ran great.
  23. Sounds like you have one cylinder going bad on you. Like the 2 guys said before a commpression check will answer that question for you. A rebuild on these bikes can be real reasonable if you are just wanting to go back pretty much stock. Everyone here will help point you in the right direction to get it all done.
  24. Merry Christmas to everyone and be safe in your new years partying! Thanks to a great site and the people that run this!
  25. Welcome to the HQ! This is a great site and all the people here are very helpful! It soulnds like to me that your caliper is binding some how. If it is bending your brake rotor when you push on the pedal then your slides are not sliding for some reason. Are you sure when you put the rubbers back in your slides you didnt get one of them wadded up in there?
