  1. that would definately do it
  2. haha, yah when i got mine, i switched it to torco synthetic, it stripped the paint completely. flipping the pedals will be fine unless they are begining to crack the overflow tank is a recovery bottle, just like a car. if you look at the radiator cap, you'll notice that the center of the bottom is a check valve to let coolant back in, but not out. there is a small amount of coolant that goes back and forth, but if you run without a bottle, it will spit that little bit out once, and stay at that amount, only sucking air, which is fine. just keep the level up in the tank, and it'll suck it in
  3. set it to 4 cyl. a 4 stroke 4 cyl only pulses 2ppr
  4. it will "sense" the pulse with the wraps. and you set the tack to 2 pulses per revolution
  5. bump. not alot of money right now, but i can pay a little, or might have a trade
  6. it pulses on the orange wire. you can just wrap a plug wire 10X. don't forget 2ppr
  7. how are you hooking it up, and is it made for a/c?
  8. ok, try this, put the front tires up on something so that the cylinders are level. remove the spark plugs and pour some oil in the plug holes, one at a time, while the piston is at the top, letting it sit for a min. before doing the other side. roll it slowly 1- 2 rev. now, put the bike back down, plugs in, pull the choke, and just start it with out throttle. you'll only have 15-20 seconds to tell weather it runs way better, so, you may have to do it a couple of times. if your compression is off that much, then you'll probably never get it to run right, untill you do the top end
  9. realtors, or i have my kenda bear claws reversed that do pretty good, but the tread is worn, so they are just ok in the snow. i think they would pe pretty good with 50%+ tread, and they are alot lighter, but still hold up real good in the tough shit.
  10. you can also go to a snowmobile salvage and match up some fox shocks w/remot rezzies, or some hpg's for a good price
  11. looks just like the pv's on my sno-go. just uses the exhaust pressure, and you can adjust, so none of that servo controller crap. doubt it has the topend of a servo pv, but deffinately better than stock
  12. what are your mods/temp/elevation?
  13. haha, mine broke off, and never gave me any problems  you don't need it. It's just there to remind you if the e'brake is set. i just park in gear anyways, because the cable can stick
  14. first, remove the plastic cover and see if the vent hose came off inside. is it blowing alot of smoke? not sure what you're talking about with the oil in the pipe
  15. ok, blowing fuel back on your hands is normal. so, you said you never swithed the bowls, but check anyways. the choke side bowl has a little brass bead on the outside twards the reeds(a plug from cross drilling the choke jet passage.) the chokeside slide has 2 knotches on top. the cable retainers have slots to let the holes in the top of the slides vent. sync your carbs and set the airscrews @ 1.5 turns out, and idle screws 1.5 turns from when they start to raise. start with the needle in the middle. if you are trying to run it without the airbox/snorkel installed, the main getting and needle settings will be way lean. i know the simplicity of these carbs can lead you to overlook these little important things, coming down from performance carbs, but alot of the same circuts are there, just not obvious. oh, and i found those tires hook alot better when you run em backwards
  16. on the frame directly under the stator
  17. ok, thanx guys. that's what i was looking for  just couldn't remember :shoothead:
  18. did you unplug the e-brake plug on the clutch pertch?
  19. you could've passed a bunch of fuel into the pipe
  20. hey, i can't remember how wide you can safely go with the exhaust port without wearing the rings down too fast. i think i remembered like 70 degrees, but not too sure. it's only for a little 50cc, but i have to port the exhaust a bit so i can build a pipe that will fit.
  21. do they look like mine, or fatter/skinnier?
  22. a test light will tell you that the flywheel manets are good, as well as the windings. a test i came upon for those without access to a multimeter
  23. lets just say that in alaska, there is a billion acres of "wilderness" and enough bears, wolfs and other wildlife for someone to become perminantly misplaced. the lucky ones leave state
  24. you can port stock cages to look like that, and just run the pedals on them
