  1. A fresh bore shouldn't have a wear ridge. And if it did, lowering the cylinder would only make the rings ride over the ridge.
  2. What in the hell were you searching for when you found that? The sad part is, he already has over 11 grand.....hmmm, I have a dog .......
  3. Check with you local animal shelter. They usually give them away. You might also try contacting your local Animal Control.
  4. I wouldn't be able to compare them because I have never tried them. I feel sorry for you though if you have your first race coming up and you haven't broken in the boots. Your gonna miss alot of shifts so be ready for it. The first few times I wore mine, I absoultly hated them. I couldn't shift to save my ass. Now that their broken in, I love them.
  5. Thats the same problem I had. Those damn buckles wouldn't stay tight. Again, for ten bucks more, go with the Oneal Elements. I have them and am very pleased.
  6. I personally would not buy the ARC's. I had trouble with the buckles not holding and the ankle area is solid plastic. For an extra 10 bucks, I bought the Oneal Elements. Great boot for the money. You might look into those before making your final decision.
  7. That flavor would be pinapple vanilla. If you taste any other flavor, it's all in your fu*&ing head.
  8. Definately worth a try. See if the city attorney can reduce the ticket to a non-moving violation. If he is not willing to do that, ask for a continuance at your fist appearance and get the ball rolling with your own attorney. Reckless driving is not something you want on your license. Oh, and just a reminder, quit doing stupid shit like that.
  9. I guess you know what you have to practice on first then huh. I take it your first kit didn't turn out so good??? j/k
  10. I was wondering that same thing... Well, look at it this way, at least the kit is new and not used....
  11. I don't care what anyone says, I say she is friggin HOTT!!! Damn!
  12. Where are you located?
  13. How about drilling a bunch of holes in it and making a chia pet out of it?
  14. ELLIS, and you? 284621[/snapback] Is there any good riding spots around Ellis? Were always looking for new places to ride.
  15. We just went through the exact same thing with my son's banshee. Finally traced it down to a weak cdi box. It wouldn't produce spark until about 2000 rpm. Do you have a buddy that has a banshee so you could borrow one to confirm this?
  16. I paced myself too. I did it over a period of three days. You will need a good set of safety glasses because you will have aluminum flying everwhere. I also forgot to mention that additional lighting will probably be required to see what you are doing. It gets kind of cramped in that small of an area. I must say that by being patient, I had extremely good results in getting everything symetrical. I found that by using WD-40 on the carbide cutter kept it from getting clogged. Good luck and may patients be on your side while you are doing it.
  17. That's intirely possible. I still think the location of the transfer ports look like they are rotated too far to the intake side. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the gap between the stock transfers are more in line with the centerline of the crank than those. I'd drag out the calipars and start taking some measurments. Heck, they could be right.
  18. The transfer ports aren't centered either. Any part numbers?
  19. It doesn't look right to me. Unless the extra piece at the bottom is there for installation purpouses only and then trimmed out after they are installed. The ports don't look right to me either.
  20. The only advice I can give you is take your time. I also used a carbide bit and a 1/4 inch die grinder along with the dremel. It took me close to 10 hrs to complete the porting but it was well worth it. I didn't mess with the tranfer layout. You can expect a very noticible gain throughout the entire powerband with the porting. Heed the warning about not going any larger on the ports than the template indicates. What you could possibly gain in performance by going past the template, I feel would sacrafice reliability. As far a jetting, I kept my stock carbs and went from a 270 up to a 300 main jet. I was running 19cc domes and had between 150-155 lbs of compression. While I didn't have access to a dyno, seat of the pants felt like about 10 extra ponies. I had a -1.5 inch swingarm and stock gearing and 5th gear power wheelies were not a problem. I'll be using the templates to port my son's cylinders during the next rebuild. I hope this info helped.
  21. Sleeve job? Those look like coolhead dome o-rings on the top of the cylinders. The jetting looks pretty close, maybe a little on the lean side but not by much. As far as bore size, I have a set of cylinder at .090 over and have never had overheating issues. is the left cylinder gouged at all? It doesn't take a bad crank long to ruin a good bore.
  22. The Raptor performed flawless. I dragged a few times and it did suprizingly well. With the exception of a couple of banshees that went whizzing by me, it held it's own. We camped in the cowboy campground and was there from friday through sunday. Looks like there calling for rain for this coming up weekend....
