  1. Have a good one!!!
  2. Have a good one boys
  3. One of the longer races I was at recently was 32 miles, we did two loops and I made it 64 miles without pitting with my 5.5 gal IMS tank. That's stock carbs, piped, no porting, and the track was about 50/50 between technical trails and wide open areas. Guys on my team with stock tanks had to pit but would have made about 40 miles easy, mine might have made 70 or so. Everyone else pretty much summed it up, alot depends on the course but the basics are the same; full skidplates (PRM makes damn good ones), reinforced rims (beadlocks aren't really a necessity), tall tires (I like 23" front & 20" rear Holeshot XC's), good suspension, steering stabilizer, big tank, tether, camelback, etc. If it's not to tight & technical get it as wide as you can with extended a-arms and axle. No matter what you can't spend too much on suspension, besides physical conditioning no single thing (even motor) will make a bigger difference (don't forget gearing!). Keep in mind you want reliability to finish the race, and time spent in the pits refueling is tough to make up...
  4. LOL!!! That's a must have right there. I'll never understand women or computers, but what the hell they are fun to play with Oops somethin' crashed I need more of these No comment
  5. Anybody know where Anadarko, OK is at? Next ATVCCS race is there on Labor Day weekend hmm. Still waiting to find out when the NMDRC Socorro race is, hopefully it's the weekend before 10/1 and I'll be able to go to LS...
  6. Thanks 03LE I'm all over that like white on rice man
  7. OMG that was priceless hahahahahahaha!!!!
  8. Good one Rare!! I just need to get rid of Exwife 1.0 now, anyone recommend a good permanent removal protocol? Ignore Bitching Pro works decent but I'd rather just send Exwife 1.0 as an email attachment straight to [email protected] where it oughta go...
  9. Little Sahara Oklahoma ain't too far Rodney, think you can swing it? Ya know it's gonna be about a year until the next Roostfest... I got the dates on the calendar and I'll be there if I can but I'm not sure if that's a race weekend yet or not
  10. It doesn't sound electrical to me, I think you're on the right track with the jetting. Bottom end power is pretty nonexistant, higher compression will help like the other one you rode, but it shouldn't fall off in the midrange and upper RPM's. You can unplug the TORS boxes and control box, but unless she won't rev at all above idle it probably won't change anything (Banshees don't have rev limiters beyond the TORS system). Anyway, depending on your elevation, premix ratio and mods (you say filter, is it K&N or foam?), you should be close on the jetting. I would do a plug chop on the 310's and see for sure if it's rich or lean and go from there, your pilots, airscrews and needle clip position should be allright but you need to dial in the mains. BTW you might check out the Jetting FAQ below, good luck.
  11. I've got a set of 20 over stock ported jugs that need a bore and a stock crank (core really, no probs but wouldn't hurt to rebuild it) both from my '96...
  12. BenBB

    tranny parts

You still need that mainshaft John? I've got a complete tranny with that shaft, lemme know.
  13. Hey Kevin I'm thinkin' of moving to Midland next year, if ya take on the Rockets lemme know if ya need an employee heh
  14. I remember those pics, vaya con Dio Oreo...
  15. Hey Meat how the hell is it going buddy? I won't be testin' mine hot anytime soon heh, but I agree with Rodney that it oughta be higher when warm, I'm just not gonna burn the crap out of my forearms to prove it...but think about a tired motor that's getting low on compression; it's a bitch to start cold but when warm it fires right up because the piston/rings have expanded, so it's got a tighter seal and numerically higher compression...
  16. I didn't know they were aluminum, hmmm. Only one I've seen done was on Duncan's Pont De Vaux racer. If you could find a carrier I'm sure Stan (aka Cotton Eye Joe) here can build the round housing swingarm around it...
  17. Have a good one Brian!!
  18. Heh I don't feel so bad I'm not the only one that's a day late, have a good one Scott!!!
  19. Tore it down halfway last night, the head is a paperweight now, that right side ate something, looks like mebbe a ring but the bore still looks perfect from what I can see. Spotted another crack in the swingarm while I was at it, great. If I could sell a kidney mebbe I'd powdercoat the frame while it's apart heh
  20. Yeah baby, practice makes perfect hehe
  21. Akpopeye, do ya still have the seal kit and if so what's in it (yeah I know complete but izzat PV seals too, water pump, kicker, etc.? topend also?)?
  22. I'm kinda partial to: Hondaline chain wax Mother's polish Mystik hi-temp red grease Simple Green degreaser And never had anything but great luck with these guys, that I have firsthand experience with: Works Performance PRM Products T.M. Designworks Patriot Racing Wiseco D.I.D. ITP Douglas Dune Devil Inc. Ricky Stator Dyna Ignitions LSR MSR FMF K&N Outerwears
  23. 56.96% here too, there's a couple things I haven't done with a woman yet in there and wanna, but there's damn sure some things in there I ain't ever gonna do (like other men, you guys gross me the fuck out), so luckily I'll prolly never be 100%...kinda like my sanity heh. BTW Brooke how about a "question 3" LOL
  24. So I guess I'm gonna spend the next month and a half between races doing the RZ conversion, all in all I guess it's purty good timing, although I either gotta wait until early next month to afford my long rod crank, or tear it down and try to sell the Banshee jugs (20 over now and will need a bore to be safe), shaved & polished stock head, stock crank, and complete electrical system (Ricky Stator stock output stator, Dyna FS adjustable CDI, stock flywheel & harness). I had considered keeping that stuff just in case I had major issues with the RZ, still plan on keeping the Banshee tranny just in case I don't like the RZ gearing, but anyway anybody think it would be a bad idea to go ahead and sell those parts? Come to think of it, I could prolly get Dan to put a fresh bore on the jugs, I wonder if I oughta do that and sell it with new pistons too? Anybody lookin' for any of this stuff right now? I'll post it in for sale when I get it apart. One last thing, anybody got a new or low-hour welded LR crank layin' around??
  25. I'm always a day late but happy birthday anyway Wheatchex!!
