  1. not to insult you but your not using an advanced timng key as well right? i know its a dumb question but had to ask
  2. i think the flat black or the gloss black would look good on your bike. here is mine, proly wont match for you but...
  3. man your working fast.
  4. its gotta be better than that mosquito killing fourtrax your trading for. lol it was reliable tho....even without oil
  5. ha ha maybe he lost a bet or something. usually when i see custom plates its some snobby doctor in a mercedes or somthing
  6. did you try bansheebitch...lol jk. what all did you try. ive never seen anyone with a personalized plate that has anything to do with banshee
  7. yep id go ahead and split the cases and re seal everything. sounds like you have a bad crank seal on the clutch side which would let your gear oil get into the crankcase and get burnt. you should be able to check the condition of the bearings once you get in there. they may be ok.
  8. can you give a better description of your problem. ie not running, running bad at what throttle position, running bad when cold etc....
  9. welcome. good to see members from all across the world. whats the riding like in australia
  10. once you get it back together just post in the jetting and exhaust section and tell all your mods and elevation and carb size and someone will be able to help you out
  11. mines a wide six pack rack style or whatever. i never really liked it until last weekend when i broke my clutch lever and had to push the shee up hill and through the woods to get back to the main trail. then it came in really handy to have the extra hand space to push
  12. mine wasnt rough where the bolt goes through either. i think id send her back for another if you got the time before using it. mine was a little snug to slide too but i just tapped on it with a hammer and screwdriver real soft and it turned. i didnt think about sanding some of the paint off
  13. wiseco pro lite forged pistons for sure. as for the boring, i would just take the jugs to a machine shop and they should be able to tell you how much you will have to go up. if its just cylinder scarring you shouldnt have to go up to .080 over. go the least amount you have to so you can still have more bores for next time. once you get her all back together you need to make sure you get your carb jetting dialed in if its not already. im sure the 91 octane gas was bad for it but i bet your running lean as well
  14. holy crap your unlucky. time for some preventative maintanance
  15. banshee bottom end is the easiest one ive ever done. just like was said before pay real good attention to the little clips and pins that align the crank and trans gears. if you shop around and get the best deals you can have that thing back together for a reasonable amount. im having trouble understanding your cylinder situation tho. so the cylinder that isnt cracked is bored to 66.25?

    lol great christmas present
  17. thats bs imo. i took that cover off once thinking i could adjust my clutch. why is it there if it serves no purpose. i thought about cutting a hole in the cover to gain access to the clutch adj. screw but figured id never get it sealed up. im hoping to get a g force axle for christmas
  18. if it were 2 stroke oil then youd have to be overfueling a ton on that one side. switch the carbs around and if it still does it then id say shee ate a crank seal. my buddies did that last time we were out and im rebuilding it right now.
  19. im a diesel mechanic myself and i too keep my good tools at work and buy tools on sale for home. i have a snap-on impact that is 3/8 and you can put a 1/2 anvil in it at home but i really dont care for it because its so heavy. if you want a good impact for good money craftsman has composite style guns now that are pretty good. my 3/8 craftsman is as light and about as powerful as a matco and costs bout 150 or so less. imo snap on tools are overpriced. there are tons of other tools that are lifetime guarenteed and cost a ton less. save the money for more shee parts
  20. yah i bought some packing from toomey.com. then when i got it the receipt and everything said power brokerz. then there was a letter in there that said they were gonna raise prices on everything.
  21. might be a good idea to check comp on the cylinder with the water in it
  22. can you tell what kinda oil its shooting out? if its gear oil then you proly blew a crank seal. if its excess two stroke then sounds like carb issues, maybe the main fell out or something
  23. that must be the 87 model boost bottle. someone proly paid good money for it at one time. or paid someone good money to make it for them. good luck with your bid loco lol. if you decide to part it out dibbs on the bottle
  24. wow that is cheap. them wheels look pretty sweet too. and free shipping
  25. t5's are a shit ton cheaper too
