  1. heres the damage the piston and the dome. i think im gonna go back with a stock head
  2. well i traded for this banshee a couple months ago with the intent to ride it til winter then rebuild it to make it what i want. then on my last trip out shee ate a rod bearing so here we are. i got a good hot rods crank off here from f4istunna (great seller) and all my gaskets and seals to put the bottom end back together. so while i had it apart i stripped the frame and just got done shooting the first coat of paint to her. im sure i will need a lot of help along the way so if anyone has any suggestions let me know. im trying to stick to a pretty tight budget so i cant do everything id like to right now. my next purchase will need to be a set of pistons. only problem is shee is already bored to hell and back. looks like i will need to go at least .090 over for next size. the cylinders dont look too bad at all so it should clean up good but i just dont know if thats too thin. i really cant afford to re sleeve right now so id like to avoid it if i can. i see a lot of .090 and .100 over kits on ebay, has anyone went that far and not had any problems? also has anyone used namura pistons or any othe less expensive ones? let me know what you think. heres what i started with

  5. i need a good stock stroke complete crankshaft for my 89 shee. also im in need of the rear chain slider that is bolted onto the bottom of the swingarm. let me know what you got shipped to 46131 franklin IN

  7. i had a 440ex with stage three hotcam port n polish and fmf exhaust and i can tell you me shee is faster than the honda i had. my shee has only been bored a bit with bigger carbs and t5 pipes. the biggest factor for you will be traction. if you can get on a hard surface like asphalt or hard packed dirt you should be fine. if its soft dirt or grass you will spin off the start and he will get a jump on you (if he can ride) but if you make the stretch long enough you will run him down no problem. 400's are 5 speeds and you have to mod the hell outa them to even hit 40 horse.

  9. first and foremost whats the best repair manual and does anyone have an extra
  10. got the autopsy report today on the shee. took the jugs off to find that the left connecting rod to crank bearing took a shit on me and the extra slop let the piston beat up the head. its not pretty but it almost makes me feel better that it wasnt the spark plug coming loose causing it. i would of felt like a real dumbass if that was the case. instead the impact from the piston caused the plug to loosen up. o well time for a complete rebuild. i will be in need of a lot of help from you guys on that im sure look for me in the repairs section :biggrin: .

  13. thanks for all the concern guys. it was a pretty bad weekend when you consider the quad, truck, and my carolina panthers got their asses kicked today. but the first part of saturday was an absolute blast. my arms are sore as hell today too so i cat imagine all you guys that rode all day long. it was great meeting all you and your all a bunch of solid dudes. i would love to do it all again as soon as i can. much love to lyn (dragbanshee) for letting me cruise his rhino after my misfortune. thanks again to everyone for an awesome time

  21. lol im in the same boat. mines 4 months old and wears 9-12 month clothes. hes 15 1/2 lbs.
  22. how olds your son? mines 4 months and he acts like he is teething. cant wait til hes big enough to go riding with me. i agree with griggs we should get a definite list on everyone now that its getting close

  24. sluggishness passes once you get there. last time i went i stayed up til 1am getting the quad ready the night before, got up at 5:30, fought with my wife on the phone on the way there and still had a hell of a good time.
