  2. i would like to go to haspin or maybe badlands on new years day. rollinrhino said he woiuld like to go as well. as long as the sun keeps shining to dry the ground up some i think it should be decent weather for riding. let me know if anyone is interested or anywhere else you wanna ride.
  3. sounds like they are idiots. if they put in the right pistons there is no need for a spacer plate. id take it back to them.... or on second thought maybe not sense they dont seem to know what they are doing

  7. well we only have 1 earth so its good to take care of it. but ive seen tons of four strokes that burn more oil than any 2 stroke. i dont understand why they cant come up with a two stroke oil that wont be bad for t he environment. i saw a cobra 80cc two stroke quad they are coming out with in 09 and its over 8k....wtf
  8. are you winding 5th gear out pretty long? with those pipes each gear will pull longer. if you short shift you could drop outa the powerband especiallly in 6th. i agree about dropping a tooth in the front. as for the rear you would want to go bigger back there for more bottom end. so if i tooth smaller in the front still isnt quite enough you can go 1 bigger in the rear. 1 tooth in the rear will affect it about half as much as 1 in the front
  9. lets see lt250r $850, traded for kx125, traded for trx 250r put about $700 into that, traded for shee, put about 1k into it so far. all in all not too much considering im pretty happy with the way it is now. did all the work to every bike myself tho that saved a ton. oh and for shipping...i think we are all doing our part to pay the bills at ups and fedex
  10. no there is .090 over. not recommended by most tho. im at .080 over and ill proly resleeve next time i need to bore. i think if your not racing or running too hard you should be ok

  12. if not i would def run outerwears. that still wont keep you all the way dry though. the only time youll get her wet is if you hit a pretty good puddle at a pretty good speed. if its slower trails you should be ok. better safe then sorry tho
  13. firebanshee, when you grind em down yourself do you grind much outa the neutral section? from the pics they look pretty much the same at the points between 1 and 2 where neutral is. i got one apart right now and i just wanna make it a little easier to go into neutral so thats why im asking. i may go ahead and round them off everywhere else too a little. so theres now draw back to doing it?

  16. yep you got it now. it wouldnt be worth much to you and pretty expensive when all said and done. you need stroker crank, spacer plate or cut heads, and port job when all said and done to have a true stroker that will perform up to what it should. lotsa $$$$
  17. possibly. the offset should be a little bigger than what you are describing tho. hard to tell witout a pic. you may just wanna get a stock key from a local yamaha shop. shouldnt cost much then youll b sure

  21. its ok man. questions are the reason for this forum even if they are a little humorous. as stated before there should be no oil when you pull off the plastic stator cover. ive heard to use dexcool mixed at 50 50 with water for radiator but not sure if the standard green is fine or not. some say engine ice but its kinda expensive so id only use it if you run a little warm
  22. ^^you mean your gonna order the 4mm stroker crank or the plus 5mm rods? cuz the rods arent gonna give you any more power. thanks dajoge for that description btw

  24. what kinda racing you do on ice? looks like that would be a blast to me. i dont care much for the cold but if you dress warm once yo get going you dont really get cold. do you run a different oil and mix in the cold or the same all year? must have some hella studded tires to get a shee to hook on ice lol
  25. id bump your pilot to the next size up and leave the pickup alone if it runs fine. the little bigger pilot could solve your hard start. if somethings wrong with the pickup or the cdi or the stator it will quit on you eventually then you can diagnose it much easier
