you may be on to something. i never notice a jingle on my 89 and the kicker is loose as hell. sometimes i like it cuz i dont have to reach down to flip it out i can just use my foot. other times its annoying cuz it gets stuck in my pant leg. cant have it all i guess

yep im down fo sho. last time was a blast til my shee ate a crank bearing. i got her all fixed up now and would like to go again. pm some of the guys from the first ride (jugriggs,rollinrhino, misspelled, gumby,speedy,etc etc) i think we can get a pretty good turnout again.

i can see what your talking about a little. i wouldnt stress over it tho. just ride it and see what it feels like. im guessing since you say the arms are straight then its always been this way you just now realized it so it wont be a big deal. in the 2nd pic if you run your mouse straight up from the inside edge of each tire to the fender you can see the difference. nothing major tho

yep firebanshee beat me to it. mine is .080 over and the pistons also say 85.92 right on them. you will have to go at least .090 over and thats a bit risky. as was said before take it to a shop they can tell you how much to bore. if its too much you may have to re sleeve or buy juggs

you sure you got the ring gap in the right spot when you put the jug on? how hot is it running and how long does it take to get hot?

full exhaust and maybe a timing plate will help wake her up. maybe some fmf fatties or pro circuit good for trails..and of course rejet the carbs. all years shee pretty much the same

man it sounds like the quads get rode really hard over there. from what you are saying maybe you should look into a brand new one. as was said before if you get a new one and take care of it you should be able to get a good amount of your money back after only a year and a half. its good that you are eager to learn and also that you know your limitations. to answer your questions if you buy a new one, all the maintnance items you mentioned will be fine to take care of it. if you only have it a year and a half i wouldnt think you would even need to take it to the dealer for anything. its good that you noticed things like the air screw out of the carb because those are the little things that will tell you if the owner has taken care of it or not. dirty air filters, carbs out of sync, rusty frames, broken fenders are some other things that will tell you. dont be too eager cuz if you get ripped off you could end up with nothing to ride and no money to fix your broken shee. good luck
